Started developing an app with the company in 10/17/17, promptly requested payment. Contract signed for development of app, payment schedule devised for work performed. Over the course of the next 3 years the company was slow to respond but would communicate and show progress of work. As a company we were ok with the slow progress as long as we achieved the desired result and product we were helping to create. Late December the company requested final payment to complete the app and put it through beta testing, the payment was made on December 31st 2021. We were told we would be contacted by the company in March after they complete the final coding of the app. Unfortunately no contact was received after numerous emails. Soon after, we learned that the company filed for bankruptcy in October 2021. We are aggravated and feel taken advantage of by this company. We have dedicated countless hours trying to bring a dream to reality just to be strung along and have absolutely nothing to show or use as the fruits of our efforts.Initial Complaint

Ive been working with them since 2017 and have invested nearly $35,000 and have yet to have my completed app. I amongst several others got scammed. Every email was just a passerby to get tot be next email or update 2 months after and this went on for years. Biggest regret of my life in trusting them. **I paid them in full two years ago, I never signed the contract with them**Initial Complaint

I paid Brainy Apps in full to produce a ********************* Application on June 11, 2021. We have a signed contract. I have not heard from them since 3/11/22 when it was stated I would be contacted "next week." I have subsequently learned they've gone through bankruptcy and now their website is down. I have been inquiring since December 2021 on when I would be asked for the wording to be used within the app. Currently, the beta version uses "ipsum *******, etc..." wording at all the important spots. I was told the application would be presented to the app stores in January 2022 and likely in stores for download within a few weeks of approval from those stores. I have hired an attorney and currently we are waiting to hear back whether they will give me the sourcecode/s for the app.Initial Complaint

They promised me they would build an app with certain functionality and didn't deliver. They kept asking for more and more and more money but wouldn't didn't deliver. I paid them 3/4 of what they quoted me and they didn't even have half of the functionality at the time of payment. Eventually they stopped responding to my emails.Business response

The app is designed and working according to agreed upon functions. This client has a large balance, wanted to add new functions and has not responded in over 1 year.
We work with serious app inventors and we have 100s of app in the app stores for our clients! We also have 100s of 5 star reviews.
Unfortunately there is a small number of people you just can not make happy. They seem to just be itching to write bad reviews no matter how good your work is.
We hope that anyone that sees these small number of bully's takes the time to see the over 200 positive reviews we have. Thanks.

I can prove Brainyapps are blatant liars. They said I have not responded in over a year? But they in fact stopped responding to me.
These were the last two emails I sent, that I never got a response to...
Deron,
Why don't me and you chat when you have the time? I have been working so much lately that I don't have a lot of spare time, and this project has gotten so off the rails, I don't know if *** is the right mediator for this conversation.
I was supposed to have an app that locks kids out of their phone, until age appropriate questionnaire was answered. (That was the "freemium model"). I was supposed to be able to pay teacher directly with the premium model through a subscription... I even sent a bunch of questionnaire to *** that I collected myself, in order to facilitate the freemium model and gave solid details on how the premium model would work... Nothing came of that... Then I had to scrap the lockout mode... I was upset about that, but figured "let's get something that will help kids study anyways, and get a minimum viable product"... Then every time I get a build from you guys, for some reason it is up on me to me to find the bugs. Which I have been willing to do. BUT, every time I get a build, the bugs are different. Now you want me to commit to saying that all I need is this last build and to find all of the problems before then. Yet I'm a idk what the problems I will run into will be.. I don't know why I'm expected to constantly find out if the functionality is working properly, when I have already laid out in detail, how it should work. This might sound rude, but I didn't realize I was part of your research and development team....
Put yourself in my shoes.
This project should have been done sooo long ago. I was being nice. I figured I was giving you time to produce what I was told I could expect. Yet instead I keep settling for less and less. And! Can't even get that. It's gotten to the point where it's disheartening to even talk with you guys, because I'm stuck between wanting to be understanding and between admitting to myself that y'all never planned on delivering a viable product in the first place.
I literally was a shoe in for this this incubator that was a perfect for my company and was told by one of the administrators, that it was a "done deal". That was until I showed them the prototype y'all gave me and I couldn't even get that to function correctly. Your company has set me back so far with my project and has taken so many thousands of dollars. Dollars that I' can only get back by means that I would prefer to avoid. That I wish I never got involved with you in the first place. Even the emblem for my company is a knock off of yours, which I was hoping would be because I was planning on paying homage to your company when we started making money...
Anyways... That's just a blip of how I feel our business relationship has gone.
I could keep ranting on and on but I think you get it. So yea... I don't think this is a *** call at this point. I think you should call me.

That was the first email sent to *********************** on January 19th. This second email was sent on February 16th.
Deron,
What's up?
-****
I received no response to either email. No phone call. No email. Nothing. I didn't stop responding to them. They stopped responding to me.
