This company was hired by Choice Home Warranty which I had for all my appliances insured. I filed a claim bc my ** was leaking. The insurance sent A & J Appliance Installation and Repair, Inc. tech to my home. He came and said ** tubes were clogged. He said he unclogged it and that the issue was settled. A week goes by and the leaking was worse to the point where my wall has two holes now. I called the insurance again and they said they will send a tech out to the home again. The same tech came to my home with another tech. I showed them the issue and they both said it was not the ** making the wall wet an that the ** had no issues. They said it was a plumbing issue and that I needed a plumber. I call my insurance again and file a new claim now for a plumber. The plumber came to my home and said this is not a plumbing issue this is the ** leaking through the floor and causing the wall to be wet. Now I call the insurance again and report that the plumber said indeed this is an ** issue. So the insurance sends out another tech from the same company. Now this tech says that it's still not the ** making my wall we, but that my pan is broken and my coils needed to be cleaned. Then they report this to the insurance and tell them it's a preexisting condition so now the insurance does not want to cover the claim. Mind you it them 3 times to come to my home and none of them even knew how to deal with my issue. This business does not know what they are doing and I cannot understand how they are up and running. I had another ** company come out to my home and they confirmed that indeed it is my ** that has caused the wall to be wet and created holes. Now I have to pay out of pocket bc of the negligence of this company! I called requesting what the reports on all 3 visits were and their secretary ****** said that she would have the owner contact me which he never did and I never got the reports on all 3 visits. Then *** says that it only shows that they came to my home only 22 times when indeed it was 3 times. This is unacceptable !!!Business response

A & J was doispatched to my house by Choice Home Warranty to clear a clogged A/C drain line. They came on 2/18/2023 to do the work. My A/C was working fine except for the clogged drain. After they left my A/C was no longer working. I called them to come look at the A/C and figurre out why it was not working. They came back to my house on the 26th and told me it was an electrical issue. I hired an electrician wirh an emergency call fee that cost me $300. He spent less then 5 minutes to diagnose that it was not an electrical issue. THe A/C Tech did not know there was an outside breaker for the unit. They came back to the house on the 23rd and diagnosed the problem which is the same problem I told them it was. I now have to hire another company and pay $750 to have the A/C they broke fixed. They won't answer the phone when I call or return my phone or text messages.From talking to botht he electrician and the A/C company that installed the unit and the company that is going to fix the unit the likelihood of the A/C Compressor shorting out duringtrhe time they were here at my house and it not being their fault is infinitesimal at best. From talking to the tech who is doing the work to fix the A/C the most likely scenario is the A & J tech was checking the float switch constantly cuasing the compressor to short out. I have a person living in my house who has COPD and uses oxygen. The heat has been unbearable for her. She is most likely going to have to go to the hospital beacuse her breathing has become labored. When I told this to the people at A & J they thought it was funny. This company should not be allowed to work in this industry. They do not know what they are doing and have no ethics. I would like to be refunded the $1,095 they have cost me. The $45 service charge I paid them so they could break my A/C, the $300 for the electrician that was not needed, and the $750 to fix the unit they broke.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because I was told by the A/C comapny that fixed the A/C the most likely reason and the only reason that makes sense is that the person fixing the A/C drain line checked the float switch at the air handler too often and too quickly causing the outside A/C unit motor to sieze shorting and cuusing the breaker to trip everytime the air handler turned on. In addition, the box that held the breaker was not locked and the breaker was outside of the *** equipment even tthough they were in the same box.If the technician they sent had told me he could not get into the outside breaker box because it belonged to *** I might believe their lie, but their representative said there was no outside breaker at all and couldn't understand why it was not getting power because the main breaker box had no issues.
A/C motors don't just short fo no reason, especially if it is a newer unit. In addition, the warranty company washed thier hands if the issue and said it was the vendors responibility to fix their mistake and it would not be covered by the warranty.
