I signed a contract with this company when I booked my event and it stated I would receive my deposit back after 5- 15 days, it's been well over the 5- 15 days, and I still haven't received my deposit. I was also charged for security that was supposed to be present and was never provided one. (Which was stated in their contract). I have tried to contact the owner on several occasions, and she respond, but never to provide me with my deposit. It's been excuses from the very beginning. I did my part on returning their place exactly like I received it I even sent her a video that nothing was damaged or left dirty. I spoke to the owner on April 2 in reference to my deposit and she stated she sent it through *****, When I called my bank to see if there was a deposit pending and they informed me I had none. As you'll see in the pictures below it says funding failed! The final straw came in today when she hung up and blocked me! At this point in time, if this is not resolved I will be proceeding with legal actions.

Security deposit of $350 was illegally withheld following event on 11/5. The co-owner I was in contact w/was very unpleasant & hands-off. When I, my team of help & vendors entered the building to set up we were appalled at the condition of the venue. Walls were dirty, some of the chairs werent sturdy, storage area that is to be draped off was exposed, broken drape poles were tucked away in the storage corner that was to be covered, hole in the wall by ***************, kitchen counter was completely peeling off & bathroom on right side of bar had a bin full of trash. All of these incidentals caused a hindrance in getting venue ready for guests in time. Because the venue owner or any staff for that matter wasn't present, my ******** had to find a way to cover the exposed storage area using the broken drape poles left there. At the end of the event, we unfortunately misplaced the key to secure the building. We then locked the doors from inside & exited thru the back door which automatically locked. I informed the venue owner & was told that we had lost our entire deposit. I requested estimates showing that locks were changed in the amount of our deposit & photos showing that we left debris in the facility as claimed. I have video proof showing that we left the building spotless as requested in the contract. Only after I mentioned my issues did the venue owner admit to me in text that a previous renter stole their drape piece which is why it wasnt replaced for our event. The venue wasn't fully prepared for us, yet we are being penalized for minor incidentals not valued at $350. Furthermore, locks were never changed as Janite claimed. I should have received some form of credit or at least a notice of the issues we would face day-of in venue. Instead, we had to problem solve & repair all while guests trickled in. I understand a deduction from $350 to make another key copy but KD Event Hall NEVER provided anything in writing or email showing reason for keeping entire deposit.

Security deposit of $350 was illegally withheld From the following event on 11/5 because
She did not follow the rules and signed contract of the venue policy she lost the key to the facility and I advised her that if you lose the key for the facility you will lose your deposit and that was something that was stated in the policy in via text messages from both parties. We have a night manager which comes in and let them know the volume of the music which only allows a tall speaker maximum in the facility her DJ brought in more than two speakers which the client signed the contract stating that youre only allowed two speakers maximum in the facility Im not sure if the client is frustrated in describing things that never occurred because of her security deposit not being refunded to her but the client sent over her sisters to the venue previously before booking the venue and now stating our facility was filthy in walls was dirty closet area does not need to be three because it is two closets with doors on it that her and her staff went into without our permission and took out pipes and drapes that did not belong to them. So therefore I will not be given a Client a refund she signed a contract. And no rules are to be broken for anyone

I am rejecting this response because: **************** and whichever other co-owner communicating regarding this matter is being completely dishonest, once again! There was no breach of contract regarding the ** and his equipment. There was no correspondence of any kind regarding the **'s equipment which I have proof of in all text messages. There was no information or clause in the contract regarding loss of the key. Furthermore, the locks were not replaced within a month of the key being lost. This business lacks professionalism and yes, there is reasonable frustration on my part because I paid full price for a venue and service and did not receive it. Instead, I was met with unprincipled, swindling persons.

      Sincerely,

      *********************************
