On December 17th, I checked into the Courtyard Marriott, room ****. The attendant checked me in as usual and explained the parking fee and a $30 food credit several times. However, she failed to mention a fee that was added to my bill for staying at the property on top of the room rate. I had booked the room through Marriott's app and paid with points, which totaled $27 including tax. When I checked out, they added an additional $30 charge. In all of my 500+ stays at Marriott properties, I had never paid such a fee at a Courtyard before. If I had been informed of this added fee at check-in, I would have had the choice to stay or not stay. Furthermore, when I checked out, the $30 credit for my food had not been applied. The attendant informed me that she needed to make sure I spent at least $30 to give me the credit, but the $47 food charge was still on my itemized bill at checkout. The manager was rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to do anything to credit the erroneous fee. I expect to receive full credit for my stay, this property should not be under the Marriot Brand, their ****** rating is terrible, and their customer service and lack of care for their elite guest is unbelievable.
