Moving is easy with Safe Van Lines. I conducted a military move recently which can be complicated and they were incredibly understanding, flexible and patient given the unpredictable nature of when my things could be picked up and dropped off as well as some of the intricacies with paperwork. Their communication through the entire process was seamless even after the initial coordination and pick up of my items. Matthew and Alvin are incredibly professional and helpful and make what would otherwise be a stressful time, seem easier. The employees who picked up my things were on time, kind and respectful of my belongings. If you need to conduct a move any time, trusting Safe Van Lines will be a great decision for you. I couldn't have asked for a more professional experience from **** at Safe Van Lines. Not only did they have the best ******************** was professional and understanding when I had to suddenly cancel at the last minute due to the buyer having a heart attack. Great experience all around.

Friendly. Courteous. Helpful. The Safe Van Lines website was easy to use. Matt, the booking agent, went over everything - inventory, logistics, timing - and was able to answer all of my questions. The move team was fast, professional, and easy to work with. They were sure to explain any potential additional charges BEFOREAND (eg "long carry"). There were NO surprises on the bill. **** was a great help throughout my-moving process. I was a bit apprehensive hiring Safe Van Lines. However, **** took my calls and always responded to my emails even on Christmas. Also, he assured me everything will be fine that he would be with me every step of the move. He worked tirelessly with me. The move went great. When I initially spoke to an agent, I was told my pick-up would be within a 3-day window, the driver would call the day before the first possible pick-up day to provide the actual day/time of pick-up, and after pick-up I would be called same-day with an estimate of when my belongings would be delivered.Instead, I was told the afternoon prior to pick-up that my driver would be there the next morning. With such short notice, I was unable to secure the loading dock/freight elevator, as someone had already reserved them. When I told the dispatcher, she acted in an unprofessional manner, as if it were my fault that I couldn't reserve the loading dock and elevator for 72 hours in a row. She failed to relay this to the driver, who had the foresight to call me directly, at which point I had to tell him that pick-up would not be possible at that time.After pick-up, I waited for a call but did not receive one. I called the next day but the dispatcher had no info, not even a window, for when my belongings would be delivered. She said she would call in 2 days with more info. 2 days later, she had not called, so I called in the afternoon. She said she would reach out to the driver on my behalf (I guess she forgot that she was supposed to have already done that herself), and called me back to say the delivery would be within the next 3-4 days. I called again the next day to confirm, and was told a similar time frame. I arranged my own travel so I can be present for delivery, only to be told the morning of my flight that my belongings would not be arriving for another 4 days. No explanation. I then have to scramble to find accommodations. On top of that, I had arranged for several items to be delivered that were stolen from my front door since I had to delay my move.I give one star for the pick-up/delivery, which went smoothly without any lost or damaged items. But if you are looking for a moving company with reliable customer service, this is not the company for you.Safe Van Lines LLC Response

I worked with **** from January 24-April *****, 2024. He worked hard to give us the best advice & best quote possible. He checked on our progress of our sale often & stayed on top of things. The 4 men who came to pack & move us were very good with all they did, & were so professional & careful with our belongings. We booked a date to move from ************* to ********. It took twice as long to deliver, and the representative named **** did not answer his phone for almost 3 weeks; nor did he appoint another representative to follow up with our inquiry and delivery date. He even turned his phone off after mentioning he would give us a call back within the hour to confirm the delivery date. When he would finally pick up the phone, he was unhelpful and rude. Very difficult to work with. We were charged almost $2.9k but as they were loading the truck, they changed an extra $1.2k basing it on the amount of single items rather than cubic feet which was the original estimate we were given. They denied ever giving us that initial quote. On the week of delivery, they insisted that we needed to transfer our stuff from a semi-truck to a Uhaul to be able to park, despite the building authorizing the parking of a semi for less than an hour, and many semi-trucks parking on the street. For this, we were charged X amount, in addition for us to have to download the truck ourselves to avoid apparent extra charges despite us paying for a full service. **** had mentioned that he would not deduct any of the extra charges because according to the delivery guy it had taken 3 hours to load less than a studio apartment, which in reality took 30 minutes. In addition to insisting that we use a uhaul for him to avoid losing his CDL. **** later seemingly provided a discount which was named-changed uhaul truck delivery costs, making it the same delivery amount of an extra $1.3k (originally charged during the loading of the truck). We were bamboozled. We had no option but to pay the extra charges in order to get our stuff. The delivery guy was very rude, sending text messages implying that we were not going to pay. Some of our items were broken and a box was never delivered.
