I reached out to affordablehealthplans.org is privately owned and operated by Excel Impact, LLC. Invitations for applications for insurance on affordablehealthplans.org are made through Flex Rates, LLC, a subsidiary of Excel Impact, only where licensed and appointed. Submission of your information constitutes permission for an agent to contact you with additional information about the cost and coverage details of health plans, they themselves never make contact with me but sold off my contact information Which in return sold my name and phone number off to at least ******************************************************************************* from Friday 04/12/2024 at 5:00 pm when I made contact to Today Monday 04/15/2024 per some of the agents that I spoke to and my background in marketing we realized that this company sold off my information to the open market for many different companies started calling me some up to 9xs in a row to offer service due to me making contact with affordablehealthplans.org is not an insurance company but a marketing company under Excel Impact, ********** Rates, LLC now I am being harassed many times on the hour and no each agent said they can only close my lead on their end which means until I answer every call and explain to them to close my lead these calls will not stop and it harassment I never signed up for my even making contact with this false company. I do not want to be reached by one more person this company sold my information to or I intend to move forward with this matter legally as I deserve piece of mind and not a day full of sales calls I did not initiate but got throw into by falsely advertising services when they are only in fact collecting information to sell off as leads to others and not a health insurance company at all.

On April 3rd, 2024, I stumbled upon **************************************. I agreed to receiving a quote on health insurance. Soon, some woman who introduced herself as ****** called me. She said she was calling from QuoteWizard or something like that and that the call is recorded and told me I requested a quote. I said I did, and she said she'll look for an agent (wasn't she supposed to be the agent?) and then told me none were available and hung up. She called me at the exact same time the website said someone was calling me.Her voice sounded tense. I'm sure she is aware that her employer is unethical in their business practices.Once she hung up, spam calls started blowing up my phone. This should be illegal and actually is illegal in Europe, probably in some of the States too.I went back to the website to try to get myself out of this, and, lo and behold, in order to complete the "DO NOT CALL" request, they say I need to verify identity through an email they claim to send to my address. I have requested it 3 times already and still no email. They have a "DO NOT SELL MY DATA" request too, but in order to complete the form, I would have to give out all sorts of personal information such as my address, and I do not trust these people to even try to do what they claim to do. I am disappointed that I fell for this scam, especially at a time when I am desperately trying to get health insurance. I have enough problems.

On March 19th, I was shopping for health insurance. I had clicked on their ad on ****** ************************ and it mentioned that if I fill out the form, I would receive a health care quote. However, they proceeded to collect nearly all the information they could from me and when the form completed, there was no quote. Not even a couple seconds after finishing the form, I started receiving texts and phone calls. Throughout the day yesterday and already today, I am still receiving spam phone calls from the me simply inputting my information into their form. I have probably received over 30+ phone calls which is incredibly disruptive and completely slimy. On their website for affordable health care, they include links to "remove your data", "stop phone calls" and to "Do Not Contact". I filled out all of those inquiries, some even twice and confirmed my email in their system. The system is directly tied to Excel Impact LLC, even using their URL.I had thought this would end the calls, however they continue on.It is obvious at this point that Excel Impact collected my personal data and sold it to telemarketing companies instantly. And after asking them to delete my data, do not contact me and to remove my phone from their call list, they ignored those request and continue to spam my phone with calls from their 3rd party providers that they sold my data too.It honestly feels like this should be ILLEGAL to say the least. I can't even use my phone or trust any call I get anymore because they have sold my data and disregarded my attempts to have my data deleted and myself removed from their call list.To add, I even email their Data Protection Officer to resolve this and he has not responded back.If this is not resolved, the next step is a lawsuit and I already did some research and confirmed they have been sued for this exact thing before. They are not a reputable business and in the interest of the public, should be reprimanded to say the least.Thank you,***********************

      Complaint: 21459647

I am rejecting this response because:

I am still receiving phone calls at this very minute. In fact, the calls started again at 8:05am today. This entire process has been highly disruptive to my life. It has taken hours out of my day to submit these request to remove my information, resubmit my information to the national do not call registry, submit a BBB compliant, follow up with the BBB complaint, to have to go through every single call that comes in on my phone and block them, to have to delete the voicemails in my mailbox multiple times a day because they fill it up until it almost reaches capacity and the mental burden of knowing that my phone is likely going to be spammed for who knows how long now. I run a small business and I serve clients all across my state and the U.S and now I don't know whether the person calling me is potential customer or another one of your healthcare scam leads the you sold my data too. This entire week has been nothing short of agony and the physical burden and mental burden you have placed me under is criminal.

I would still like two items to be addressed:

      1) I want you to have to do the leg work of contacting every single provider you sold my data too and have them remove me from their future calls. I do not wish to receive ANY MORE phone calls. You created this mess, you need to clean it up.

      2) I want some form of compensation for not only the hours out of my work day that you have wasted this week trying to clean this mess up, but the missed opportunity and the nuisance you have created in my life from one simple form request. I value my time as a small business owner and I can't create more nor can I go back and get my time back. Your company has profited off of my data and in turn took profit from me as a small business owner. I want some form of compensation for this unnecessary intrusion into my life.

Please respond with how you will manage those two final requests.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

It is honestly disgusting what Excel Impact is able to get away with and on top of that disgusting that your organization is well aware of this unethical behavior yet, you still have given them an A+ rating. It just goes to show how unreliable and what a complete sham the BBB is.

Excel Impact has 24 complaints on just BBB, the most I have ever seen a company listed on BBB have. It honestly makes no sense to still give them an A+ rating. Clearly they are paying for this rating, otherwise their less than 1 star rating would be enough to give them a D+ rating at best.

In all of my life, I looked at the BBB is being a reputable measure of a companies standing, but after this ordeal, its clear the BBB is nothing more than a for profit PR firm for terrible companies. Truly mind blowing experience with your company. I have lost all respect and trust I had in your organization. And as an organization that is supposed to be there to provide reassurance to consumers, this says a lot.

December 14, 2023 $923 ****** care insurance coverage for **** Site appears to be misleading as I have been bombarded with tele-marketing calls since initial encounter.Attempted to send request to delete all of my information but they came back with additional requests that I am skeptical about.Confirmation # is OIA **** **************** number ************ I was attempting to shop for health insurance coverage on a sponsored government site accesshealthCT .com however, the website affordablehealthplans.org popped up which is a private non-government site and thru my own stupidity I continued to provide personal information. Everything except the "url" appeared legit and I continued with the process. Not until after I disconnected with them did it **** on me that I was scammed. When something appears to be too good to be true it is was my thought and I have taken the necessary action steps to hopefully ensure we do not become victims of identity theft.
