my home was damaged by hurricane Ian * When i and son **** called my insurance company to try to start repairs, they could not find us a mold mitigation company and ***** to find our own company * We hired Eco water restoration * They asked me to sign a contact on a cell phone* I am 88 yrs old and i told them i was not comfortable without seeing a contract * They said they could not start without insurance approval with the insurance company , which they never did get *approval ** They said they were out of ink with there computers and would mail contract right away,* after a week of asking them for an estimate for repair that our insurance company needed * They continued to work and after a week my son **** and i asked them for a total which came to ****** for very little work such as 1* hook up dehumidifier machines , pull out some of lanai pieces, cut a tree down , submit mold test , tarp aprox 45 sp ft ,roof, I was also asking them to concentrate on the inside of the home ,and they kept working on the outside* then *when we asked them to stop repairs , they sent a crew anyway * Then i had to fire them because myself and my son **** did not feel comfortable with this company * They were not doing what we asked of them , seemed to be doing things there way and when we saw what they were charging /billing was very outrageous They continue after many attempts by us to get a corrected honest bill from them Please call my son ******************* with any further questions *************************Initial Complaint

I hired this company immediately after hurricane *** caused severe damage to my ******* property. I was told by the owner ********************* that mold testing was required,and that it would be approximately $1500. I felt that was an expensive estimate but agreed to proceed. A week or so later I received an e-mail requesting that I approve payment of $3750 for the mold testing which I refused to do. I then asked that they stop work until I was able to discuss with my Ins. adjuster. A while later I received a phone call from them saying I owed appx. $7300. I told the person that couldn't be possible, that I had already paid a $2475 deposit. I asked the caller to send me an itemized statement & the person said they would. I didn't hear further until yesterday when I received a certified letter stating they had placed a construction lein on my property. I feel that this company is using the disaster of *** to rip-off senior citizens.
