Got approved for 5% with 10% down thats what I can afford monthly payments. Put $34k deposit and the day prior to closing the lennar mortgage needed the tax transcripts on my business. I got a loan denial because of debt to income. The builder refuses to refund my deposit since its been 2days past 30days period! The only way to get full deposit back is to get a loan denial that they offered AFTER the 30day period!!! My debt to income is not enough, i dont have any more money for down payment and NOW the only option they offered is 8% interest that will increase the monthly payments or loose the deposit

Awful- don't think about using this as a home-buying experience for me was an utter mess.

Shame on you Lennar. Encouraging people to put themselves in financial straits and threatening them that if they dont they will never get their down payment back. 2 mortgages is never good. Our housing market has tanked in the last couple of months due to interest rates and people arent buying. Lennar is offering 4.62% mortgage rates on new construction. How do we compete with that? Reached out to our Lennar contact and basically we were told too bad so sad take out 2 mortgages or were keeping your money. Six months ago they were going to work with us and now forget it. They are even nasty and threatening. My house will eventually sell but Ill never buy a Lennar.

I hate that I have to write this bad review but this process was so stressful and I wish it on no one. I waited over a month to write this review so I wouldn't be so much in my feelings. But every time I think about it I get anxiety and upset again. I really think I need to see a therapist. Going through the financial part was very draining from the middle to just about the last hour. My husband and I have bought and sold several houses and have never experienced ANYTHING like this. We had to submit some of the same documents more than 2 times and what tops it off their paperwork cam back with wrong information/numbers "at the last hour." Explanations were not valid. Communication between the different people (from the same company) conflicted. We would receives emails that said we were good to go but then we would get a phone call and/or an email from someone else saying that we needed to submit MORE documents (weren't approved yet). It came down to the day before (or what we like to call the last hour), and we still weren't approved yet and had to submit more documents that had nothing to do with the financing part. By this time they should've just told us that we weren't approved instead of dragging it this long. We had been hiding all of our stressing from our child but on the last day I couldn't hold it in any longer. Our child saw me crying, fussing, and cussing. I had to apologize to our child. Even our closing appointment wasn't communicated to us properly. Others may not have had this experience because they went through another lender. I pray that they get better so others don't have to go through this. I'm still traumatized. Our home is beautiful. I'm keeping a close eye, annotating, and reporting the things that are wrong before the warranties expire. My ****** review wouldn't submit if I put one star, so i put 5 stars w/ a much shorter bad comment. I'm praying for past, present, and future customers. Lennar HAS to do better.

It was the worst experience anyone could ever possibly have. Buying your first home should be exciting and *** and Lennar Mortgage made it the complete opposite to say the least. *** told us do many times that everything is good to go and would give us closing dates and then a day before he would call us with bad news changing everything. He also lied about HOA. He told us HOA would be billed separately which we understood but he showered the total mortage payment with it included and then when we went to sign, it wasnt included so now its $230 more a month. Thats what a bait and switch is, very unprofessional and scummy sales tactics. We will be having our friends and family leave multiple bad reviews for Lennar Mortgage. We also feel discriminated against for our young age. Nothing was compensated either for the horrible experience. Last month has been h*** Mortgage was $2949 with HOA included in that number but billed separately. Now its $2911 + $230 for HOA. Glad he lied to us multiple times and then we found out from the closing lady. We will never be using Lennar again or recommending them to anyone. Only thing we got offered was a bottle of tequila my wife just had a baby and we dont drink. Completely useless.

Lennar mortgage promised an interest rate to me, after they could not provide it and raised it from 5.5% to somewhere in the 7s, I cancelled the contract and they took 250 dollars from me due to their inability to meet what they were promising.

Lennar Mortgage and Lennar Homes are separate entities but they work together to drag out the loan conditional approval process past 30 days to secure your $8,000 ******* money deposit. This company is a scam and Im fully prepared to take this to court to recover my $8,000 deposit. Ive closed on over 10 properties over the years. It has never taken 30 days to have a file underwritten. I was once an underwriter myself! But its ok, lets go to court! Id rather spend $20,000 to get my $8,000 back than to let these predatory lenders keep my money! Never use these people. Ill report back once Ive successfully sued this company.

We have had a similar issue with Lennar, LLC. We put. $5000 deposit down on a new home being built which was contingent on the sale of our home. Our home did not sell in time, so we are requesting the deposit returned. It has been over 90 days. I have sent an email to several people at Lennar as well as our home specialist without a response.

Lennar Mortgage is a separate and distinct entity from Lennar Homes. The return of your ******* money deposit cannot be granted by Lennar Mortgage. You will need to communicate with your representative at Lennar Homes for this request.
