We have a Sundance 880 Cameo hottub that is almost , almost at the end of its 5 year warranty. It is up in June of 2023. This company is the "only" dealer for this brand in the state of Florida BTW. This company recently we understand changed owners. Since the change, we have not been able to get them to warranty issues that are covered. The manufacturer claims they have no control over their dealers (BS) when we call them. They must have idiots who work for them or they just ignore customer issues that they should be responsible for, like warranty. In this complaint, I called them 10 days ago about a leaking heater. The girl said it would be **** days before they could come and see it. So after not hearing from them, on the 10th day I called to see what was going on, and the girl today (3/8/23) said she sees no record of my call but saw another issue from month's earlier. So now she said she was going to send me via email a "new" form they use for warranty. I did receive the form and it wants ****** upfront deposit for a "service call". This is not a service call it's a warranty issue & they don't state whether the deposit is refundable. Why a charge for warranty? As the warranty is soon to expire we are trying to get in under the warranty for which we paid for. This company now dodges all attempts to honor their manufacturer obligations to consumers who purchased their product in good faith based upon protections offered as part of the purchase. Between the dealer and the manufacturer both are dodging their responsibility. My opinion is that they don't want to warranty or service product not sold by the current owners but they are the "ONLY" dealer in the whole state of Florida which is crazy to begin with, based on the ***************** of the state. And this is not the first situation we have had with them in the last 2 years.
