I good faithfully contacted Hurricane Roofing of Florida for a full roof replacement. Mr ********* ****** came over to give me an estimate. I agreed to the price structure and paid 1/3rd of the price (May 28, 2021). June 6, 2021 Ms. ******** ************ ********** (co-owner) came to my residence to fill out all the required paperwork for the county building department (permits) Up to that point everything was very proper & professional. Then came the delays, not answering emails or phone calls. Out of the blue one day they call me to advise me that there's a new metal roof manufacturer that will be able to provide materials for the job. My wife and I approve the change and sign a new contract. Again and again we try to call communicate with them and nothing. Yesterday we received the following: "Re: Hurricane Roofing of Florida, Inc. To whom it may concern; This letter is to serve as an OFFICIAL NOTICE that due to the volatile & post COVID business environment over this last year; our company (Hurricane Roofing of Florida, Inc.) has absorbed substantial & severe financial losses. Due to the volatility of the construction & roofing industry, Hurricane Roofing of Florida, Inc. is no longer in a position to sustain business operations and unfortunately & regrettably; have been forced to close the business as we are no longer able to operate and or provide services related to the company's current commitments. This letter is in effect as of November 17th, 2021. Moving forward; any and all correspondence regarding Hurricane Roofing of Florida, Inc., as it relates to any current & or previous clients with an open commitment shall be conducted via our legal council. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused as well as for the delayed communication regarding this matter. Having said that, know that the decision to close our business has been extremely difficult as this is an uncharted area for us including the implementation of this process...Initial Complaint

I am having a problem in completing a roof replacement from Hurricane Roofing of Florida (License# CCCXXXXXXX). We executed our agreement in March 2021 and my roof replacement has yet to be completed. They finally came in September 2021 to tear off my roof, stating the installation would occur within 2 weeks. As of this date, my roof is not completed and they do not respond to my calls or text messages. My roof only has #30 paper installed at the moment. The contractor, Francisco Duarte, cites delays due to weather and material shortages, but to the contrary others have had roof replacements completed in a fraction of the time. 8 months for a roof replacement is excessive by any standards and I would like to obtain any assistance or suggestions you may have to get this matter resolved expeditiously.Initial Complaint

On March 4 2021 I signed a contract with Hurricane Roofing of Florida to do a metal roof for my house, I gave them a check for $4348.65 and they told me that within about two to three months they would complete the project. Time kept passing and nothing happened, then in July the lady(said her name was *****) from the company came to my house with one of her associates to tell me that within 30 days they were going to start the job, the date came and still nothing, finally after many calls and texts the same persons came to my house on Sep 25 and told me that they have decided to cancel my contract, I asked them to return my deposit but they said that they have 30 days to return it, I told them that this was unreasonable since they have my money since March, they should have returned my money the day they decided to cancel the contract.
