Our fridge was not as advertised on the website nor did it function. It was an old cooler that had to sit in the middle of *** van ****** All of *** food went bad on day 1 of *** trip and we had to pay for special accommodations due to this issue. The heater made a loud knocking noise. This made it very difficult to fall asleep and would disturb the neighb***s. One person even came to knock on *** van late at night to complain about the noise. Roof vents broken. Both of the roof vents were broken. This created stale air, excessive moisture and a dangerous environment for cooking with the gas ******** grey water valve. We searched everywhere and could not find the grey water valve. It was never shown to us and it was not as described in the ***************** We send multiple videos to roadside assistance and their solution was for me to go under the van and open the emergency panel. Im not qualified to be doing such a thing nor is it safe to be going under a vehicle. Leaking roof vent. One of the roof vents leaked significantly. ***** water was spilled onto *** sheets staining them and making them very uncomfortable to sleep in. Low quality stove. The stove we received was of poor quality. It took nearly 30 minutes to boil water.- The van vents were not working - The wall were leaking with water The van was not as advertised on the website. This is false advertising and I will take this complaint further if not refunded. Videos are available upon request as I can't upload them to this site.

We rented a camper for vacation from Indie Campers. When we picked up the Camper, we were sent To the wrong location for pick up. Then, upon picking up the camper in the correct location, we received a defective vehicle with a generator that did not work and a Water hose with several holes in it. Despite reaching out to the company for over 48 hours, they were unable to provide a new Camper or Service our current Camper. They were unable to have a phone call with me and only agreed to communicate via text Because of problems with ******, we were unable to stay overnight in the vehicle due to extreme heat and a faulty generator. The company expected us to drive three hours to return the camper, but did not have an alternative camper for us to use. They did not offer to pick the camper up or to other way. It was a very frustrating and terrible experience for our vacation.I called the company several times and was connected to people in *****, who are unable to help me. They kept telling me that someone would text me to Help but that I was unable to talk to anyone in the ************* despite renting the camper from *********, ****** because of the above situation, we had to drive three hours to drop the camper off at one of their locations and were not provided with a new vehicle. We then had to rent a car and hotels for the rest of our vacation. They were very poorly accommodating to help, refusing to have any type of voice phone call with me or my husband. A truly terrible experience

We did a relocation RV with Indie Camper and contractually they promised $150 in a rebate if we send them gas receipts of that value after the trip. We have filled out the form they required over 5 times and sent those over 20 emails following up. We spent tremendous amount of time trying to collect the $150 promised reimbursement. We have now been waiting since the day of the ***** delivery, March 28, 2024, with no avail. They usually respond, but never send the money. We are experienced RVs drivers, with over 20 relocations/trips all over world. All companies fulfill they promises, but Indie Camper. I addressed my concern to the founder of the company, **** ******************************* de S Ponte ********, but it got ignored. We also experienced issues at pick up, several times, when nobody was there to deliver the units, waited several hours for their people. We did not complain considering that Indies Camper is an e new business in **. In addition, their trip support crew is outside of the country, and they cannot make a decision on the spot. They are very pleasant on the phone, assuring you that the problem it will be resolved, but usually is tacking several attempts before you get any answers. Their employees are very nice at pick up, but at the drop off in **, we encounter a very rude employee, even disrespectful. I think his name is *******.I am very unhappy with Indie Camper. My Booking# ****EQ online or Booking # ******* on contract. This is the last resort before we will sue them. We need to teach them that this is not the way to emerge in a US market, with dishonesty and bullying.

We rented a camper van for almost ***** for two weeks from Indie Campers. The van we got was in an accident, was dirty at pick up with equipment not working or in very poor condition. We paid almost 100 dollars for two bedding kits, which were missing items and the blankets were of extremely poor condition. We were freezing at night as the camper's heater was not working. The camper's hot water heater was also not working. Much of the equipment and furniture was old, rattling or missing parts. The staff was extremely rude, including the manager at the ****** pick up location. The van seemed to have mechanical issues as well as it really wabbled a great deal. We paid extra for the kitchen kit- which was also of very poor quality and had missing parts, and everything about it was dirty and dusty. The van was missing window covers and the screen could not close. The zippers on both sides were not working. Overall, the van was in a very poor condition when we rented it and we request full refund of the rental fee paid.

Booking reference with Indie Campers: BLApoWW5Vpvw Booked Feb 5, 2024 Paid $3154.28 at that time The location was the ***************************** My partner and I rented a camper van from Indie Campers that was not presented as advertised. We then spent 3-4 weeks going back and forth with them via email, documenting the issues with the van and asking for a full refund or a replacement van. We also sought financial compensation for the money we had to spend due to the inadequacy of their van and customer service. In the end, they were only willing to refund us in the ballpark of $300 out of the $3154.28 that we spent on the vehicle. First, I made sure to order a van with wifi as I needed to work remotely while traveling. As I was driving off the lot, I was informed there was no wifi. Next, we were guaranteed that the vans are deep cleaned after every customer. As we started driving away, a smell wafted to the front cabin. We spent two days looking for the source of the smell and ended up needing to do our own deep clean. We found a yellow scum in the fridge behind everything we could remove, crumbs, dust and dirt under the seats, someone elses f**** in the bathroom, and black mold in the fridge and the toilet compartment. After cleaning all of this, the smell persisted. We tried to get a replacement van, but the company did not have any. Due to my partners risks with black mold exposure (he has asthma), and my need for working remotely via wifi, we had to rent hotel rooms. We ended up needing to spend approximately an extra $1500 on hotel rooms over the course of 3 weeks because of Indie Campers false advertising. Other issues reported to Indie Campers with no resolution included the oil light coming on, ripped chairs partially repaired with duct tape, several broken or partially broken levers to the chairs, windows and locks (someone had tried to repair the window lock by stuffing a napkin in it).

On June 20, 2024 my son and I arrived in **************, **** for a 4 day vacation. I had previously paid and booked a camper van from Indie Campers. Pick up was set for the 20th with a return date of June 25th. We arrived at the shop at about 3pm and by 4pm we were on the road. We were set to travel 4 hours south to ************. About an hour later we noticed a small septic gas smell but wasnt sure of its origin. We stopped at a grocery store for supplies and upon return to the vehicle the smell was bad that we knew we had an issue. We immediately called the customer service line for *******************************************. The representative was in a foreign country and told us that they could not help us nor could they help us contact the local shop where we picked the van up (no listed phone number for the local shop) I was told to go online and start a bot chat and they could direct me for further assistance. I did this and we got a reply that they were going to look into it. The septic gas smell was so bad that we had to turn around and drive back to the shop which was now closed. We left the van in the designated area for returns, left a note and my contact information along with the key in the overnight drop box. I was offered no solution other than return the van. We then pivoted to a rental car that night and made the 4 hour trip south to ************. I paid them over $1700 for 5 day rental, possessed the van for less than 3 hours then returned it and they have offered me a $89 refund with no explanation as to why. I need help getting my money back or at least 4 days worth of it which should be about $1,360

I have filled out the form they require three times and sent them 9 emails following up. They respond quickly and never send the money.I think they do this hoping people will give up. Very bad for business because my experience renting their camper was GREAT but now I am very unhappy with them.My claim number is #ORD007340
