CORE Energy installed solar panels on. y hoe six months ago. Last week the panels were finally inspected. They did not pass the inspection and are n to safely installed. I am currently paying for panels that do not work. I would like the panels to function.Business response

Purchased solar panels through this company spent about 30k. When installing the panels the electricity was shut off which was understandable, but it was never turned back on. I come home at 6pm call the company which closes at 4pm and had no power. I had to call an electrician to fix the issue. I notified my sales rep the following morning which was back in July 16 2023. The sales rep promised to repay the invoice amount however I have yet to see the reimbursement. Fast forward I now have a leak in my roof, called the company to notify them of this as well. They told me I need to pay $200 for them to come out and inspect and IF they THINK its their fault then they will fix and return the $200. Nowhere in my contract does it say I have to pay for a warranty inspection. I also reminded recently about my invoice and throughout this entire process only for them to tell me I never mentioned the invoice to them. Now they dont answer calls or emails and I have asked to speak with a supervisor and can never get contact information from ********.Business response

Good Afternoon,
As the customer mentioned we have a $200 refundable fee in the scenario that damage is not related to work done. As stated in contract our warranty does not include site visits (see screenshot attached). Customer also elected to have her own electrician to work on her home/system which technically would void warranty.

My contract states warranty is included it has no mention of a site fee this seems to be made up by the company as they go. See attached
Lastly, the electrician I hired didnt do any work on the system. When the company installed my solar panels they did not turn my power back on before leaving. When I came home late night my electricity was off, reached out to the company no answer. I called my electrician to turn my power back on and I had to pay out of pocket for that. I couldnt go a whole night without electricity and shouldnt had to. When I first gave the invoice to my sales agent who was notified from the start it was promised to be paid. When speaking to the owner he said I had to call a particular number and leave a message. Said number was never given to me by the sales agent. Therefore, he will not reimburse my invoice.
Regarding the roof leak it was looked at with a one time courtesy fee, but the personnel sent out said they couldnt find a leak but it was in fact leaking in the same area as the panels and resealed according to them.

Firstly, as customer mentioned, we visited the project and fixed the leak although not caused by solar panels. Problem resolved.
Secondly, we do not reimburse customers for them calling other companies to fix an issue. She is supposed to provide a written notice of any and all issues with her system to the company as stated in her contract.

We were promised to pay $70 per month for the panels + around $20 to FPL to be connected to the grid. First year we paid $70 per month for the panels and over $100 to FPL because our panels were not producing enough electricity. Little that we knew the panels were not turned on but after 5 months of installed having to pay close to 1k in backed up electricity to FPL. Now the monthly bill for the panels doubled to $188 per month and still around $60-90 per month for electricity to FPL. We were promised to save money installing the panels but we are actually paying way more than without them. We want them removed sell our property plus reimbursed for electricity billed after panels were installed. Also, we left a negative review on ****** warning people about this company and we have been approach by an attorney with a cease and decease letter to remove our review and threatening to *** us if we dont. We wont remove it because they are a bunch of liars. You can see the reviews online and judge for yourself. They posted over a dozen of positive reviews in one day. That doesnt happen to a local business. I can only assume they ask people for reviews and thats an unacceptable way to do business.Business response

They only have called once in all of 2022. Their system was operational since 2021. Which is why we sent a cease & desist letter to them for leaving false reviews. They also claim the system is not performing as expecting however it is producing 109% of estimated production lifetime. Which you can also see attached. The customer has increased their ********************** consumption since being installed which is normal.
We ask that this complaint be removed as it is untrue.
