On September 3, 2022, Baker Industries came out to my house to tear down a wall enclosure separating my kitchen from my living room. He only widened the opening, but did not take the wall down as was agreed upon by both parties. He said the work was too involved, and would cost more money. I said to just put the trim up and reinforce the opening. He told me he would come back on the 5th to finish up the work. He never showed up and sent a text saying he needed a day off and would come back on the 6th at 8:30 am. He never showed up at that time. He said he came at 10, and went to Lowes and decided to wait until I came home to finish the work. I told him to wait until I came home and to not cash the check that I gave him until I saw the work he had done. He originally was supposed to come from the 3-5th, and only came out on the third for 5 hours which I can confirm. I have no proof that he came out on the 6th. He cashed the check that I told him not to cash because the work was not completed. I told him I would only pay for the work he did, and I would use another company. He only reimbursed me $300. I have pictures of the work he did.Business response

Two days, 2 men, 10 hours total including trip charge plus material
$75.00 per hour = $750.00 plus $150.00 in material left in the garage to trim out the opening for a total of $900.00.
Customer was out of town, advised to meet before proceeding with trim out. Customer was unprofessional, rude and unsure of what she wanted, then decided to not go through with the trim out or meet to discuss job completion. She was reimbursed $300.00 from $1000.00 which was agreed to be left and used as a draw, deposited.
According to the math above, the customer received a deal and is still complaining, wasting time and resources. We will not be discussing this matter further.
