Regency DRT was hired to fix hurricane damage. They never finished the job and never paid their bills. Subcontractors are now filing liens against the property and the homeowners. Regency DRT now refuses to return phone calls or emails.Business response

Good Afternoon Steve, I am sorry that you experienced a poor expierience with Regency DRT.
If you don't mind me asking, did you ever sign a form stating that the job was complete?
I just want to get as much information as possible before I contact our managers.

I have had an insurance claim open since October of 2022 for water damage in my master bathroom. It is now March 20th 2023 and only a couple things have been done. I have lost count of how many times this company has said they will be to our house to complete the project, and then they just don’t show up. No calls, texts, anything. They ghost us for a week then say they found someone else to do the job, which just falls through. We are stuck in an endless cycle of negligence and not holding up their word. I have asked to be contacted by the manager or anyone in charge and nothing happens. All we want is this job to be completed so we can move on. We have been sharing a bathroom with our kids for going close to 6 months now. Thank you.Initial Complaint

Lost the interior of my house to a fire in January 2021, Regency DRT seemed very prompt and eager to begin on my house. They would not give me an exact date when the job would be done, but said it shouldn't take longer than 6-8 months. the first few months it seemed to move along quickly, then it came to a very very slow crawl, that's when the excuses started coming. Covid was the first. We where told that it was hard to find workers, supplies, equipment, etc. That was almost understandable in the beginning. 2 years later the excuses are still coming. Inspections, workers, supplies, we have heard them all. 2 years later and the drywall hasn't even been installed yet. I am getting threatening lien letters from contractors because Regency DRT isn't paying them. I'm at a loss at what I should do next. My family is at a hardship now, not only am I having to pay a mortgage for a house that I cannot live in, I'm also paying rent for an apartment so I have some where to live. The mortgage company can no longer provide assistance because it has been so long. We are struggling to survive financially. Inexcusable!
