    On May 27, 2022 we arrived at Quality Inn and Suites to check in to our reservation. After checking in, we went to our room in 116. The room was not clean and smelled very bad. The carpet was very dark and gloomy, The couch was soiled heavily and the sheets were not cleaned. The desk chair was nasty as well. I went back to the front desk and informed the agent the room was dirty and we needed another room. I was given a key for the next room and it too was dirty and smelled badly. The door to the balcony was broken. I went back down and told the agent we would not be staying there and wanted a refund. She told me she was going to provide us with a refund but I needed to call Expedia and have them to call since I booked through them. I called Expedia and informed them of the visit to the hotel and she returned after calling Quality Inn and stated I would be charged for the night but the following two nights would be refunded. I told the Expedia representative I wanted a full refund because I was not staying in a filthy hotel when both rooms were nasty and had mildew smells coming from them. My wife stayed something but her several times while I had checked the other room. I am a retired disabled veteran and am here trying to celebrate my anniversary with my wife and to say the least I am being charged for a room we merely walked in and saw it was not clean or smelled remotely healthy for an animal to stay in. How can a business have a practice of customer service like this and still be in business. This is horrible and unsatisfactory for anyone to deal with. I want my money refunded.
