I have pictures of the house that we rented. It was filthy. It was in disrepair. There was black mold. The kitchen was in disrepair. The dishwasher smelled so bad you could not use it. There were roaches and bugs everywhere. The company was total jerks to deal with. They post pictures to get you to rent a property and get you there knowing you will have no place to go and will have to stay there. They charged me $5200 for the week and this house was not worth $100 for the week.

Guest was offered a full refund at the start of her stay due to her unsatisfaction with the house and she refused. We also offered to move her to them to a different house and that was also refused because she said the parking would not work for her. We then offered to send extra housekeepers and maintenance techs to help with any of the issues she was addressing and she refused that as well. Guest then threatened verbally and through text that she will issue a chargeback. She also threatened to contact the news and leave a review. She called us a fake company and a scam that lures people in to stay at bad homes for their money. We tried everything we could to remedy the issue while still being booked at full capacity and guest refused all options. We very much pride ourselves on the quality of our homes and customer service.Review from Amy S

We rented a condo in Oct 2021 for a vacation in March 2022. On Wednesday 3/23 before our arrival on that Saturday 3/26 we were called and told unit had sold and was no longer available. Rental agent referred us to the new rental company, Compass resorts. When I phoned them, this unit was not available and the only unit they had available for the same time frame was $700 more. I find this unscrupulous and unacceptable. We booked through Vrbo and they offered us nothing and five star properties also offered us nothing other than a refund three days prior to our expected arrival.Five Star Beach Properties Response

Unfortunately, our hands were tied on this one as we cannot stop an owner from selling their unit. We also were at 100% occupancy so we had nothing to move them to. Normally, we would offer another property but this was not an option and this is built into their rental agreement that they sign.
