They left a business card at our front door for landscaping design. We called and he came to our home, *******************************. We made a contract for plants and landscaping design and gave him a check for 50% of our contract for him to buy the plants. The total value of the contract was to be $3,000 and we gave him a check for $1,500 on January 18th, 2023. He was supposed to start work on Friday 20th, two days later, but did not show up. We called him that day and he made an excuse and said he would start work on Monday 23rd. On Monday 23rd he did not show up either and now he is no longer answering his phone, he stole our deposit money!Initial Complaint

On 8/24/2022 I was approached at my residence by ******* *****************************. He presented himself as an owner and operator of Palm Color Landscape Company as I was looking for a landscaper to do something about my backyard. We went to the backyard and discussed the future project. The project was to cover **** sq ft with synthetic grass, cover the active sprinkler, and utilize proper drainage. We agreed upon a sum of $22,200.00 and a start date of 09/12/2022. ******* collected 25 percent of the payment at the signing of an agreement. On 09/12/2022 ******* and his team of 2 guys came and started to excavate the old turf and collected second part of 25 percent payment to buy materials. On 09/15/2022 old turf was excavated, but no workers came by to continue the work on the project. On 09/18/2022 I reach out to ******* to find out about whats going on, ******* assured me that he will be there the following day. No one showed up. On 09/23/2022 I contacted ******* again, he told me that his trailer is broken and also that he has surgery and cannot come. on 09/26/2022 I contacted ******* again, he responded on 09/27/2022 , that he is sorry and will resume work on this project the following day. No one showed up. 09/29 ******* texted me " Im sorry, i need you to give me a chance to finish the job next week " to which I replied " ok we will see" . On 10/03/2022 ******* texted that he will be bringing 2x4 beams and sand . No one showed up on 10/03/2022.On 10/03/2022 I contacted *******, he replied angrily that he is going to give me my money back and that he doesn't like to be pushed. I asked him to bring me the money, but he is a no show once again . Today is 10/07/2022 and there is no sign on ******* and his company as well as my back yard is completely demolished. ********************* showed up at my looking for Enriuqe because he didn't pay them. I had to contact another vendor to get the backyard done as well as correct mistakes that ******* and his team made.Initial Complaint

On July 3, 2021 we put down a deposit of $2,837.50 for a landscaping project to be done. We wrote a check for a $6,000 project for palm trees and shrubs. I have repeatedly tried to contact the owner, ******* ******* to have him return with landscaping plans for my HOA approval. We have scheduled 3 appointments but each time he failed to show up. I have now asked for a full refund with no response from the owner. It appears that he has no intention of doing the job or refunding our money.Business response

Todos mis clientes firman contrato con la compañia a la hora de cerrar un negocio. I do not know who that person is and my company does not have a signed contract with him. All my clients sign a contract with the company when closing a business. Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2021/09/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do have a signed contract from the company. In addition, he has cashed my check ***** in the amount of $2,837.50. So, clearly the company does know me and took my money. We have had several conversations about my situation but the owner still has not moved forward with the landscaping project.
