I hired Monster Bounce Houses, LLC for our annual Holiday Party on December 3rd in ************. ??I spoke with an employee and paid for the bounce houses (2) in FULL on September 20th. ?? I called and texted and emailed to confirm their set up multiple times a week prior to the event. Roughly 8 texts and 10 calls were ignored. I FINALLY received a text back 2 days prior to the event from the owner, ***. He stated they would be there to set up. We reserved 2 bounce houses for 10 hours. ?? The day of the event, an employee showed up at 3pm (our 10 hour rental would have to be picked up at 1am-- they were supposed to set up at 10am) and told me he would not set up until I paid a balance of $185. I told him I paid in full and I didnt owe a balance. He told me until the owner, ***, verified this. There is nothing he could do. I tried calling the owner no less than 70 times as did my husband. I should not be surprised with no answer again. ?? We told him that we would just pay the ***** in cash, just so he could set up the bounce houses and NOT let the children down. especially for Christmas. He refused.?? I called the cops. He called the cops. The cops could do nothing but make him leave (though he was stealing not only from me, but from 400 of my neighbors who pay *************** as well). ? Long story short, this employee left without setting up the bounce houses, and did it intentionally.Business response

My company showed up to the event on time. **** and his wife **** were informed that we did not setup due to the fact that both he and his wife refused to pay for not only this event but a previous one in November. We accommodated them on their original event upgrading there smaller bounce house to a larger 19ft one free of a charge a difference of $195. They threatened to withhold my equipment if i did not bring them the smaller one in addition to the one we provided. Refused to pay as well. After speaking with his wife I waived them from paying because they created such a mess for me with my employees. On the most recent event Dec 3rd they refused to pay their second half of the balance for a second time. If you read my terms and conditions provided with a link below we charge $100 for community event setups and $25 per bounce house setup on asphalt. This left them with a $150 difference plus $35 for their request for 2 bounce houses vs 1 large one. Their request was last minute and we accommodated them. When they refused to pay For a second time we refused to setup. My employee tried to leave and **** used his truck to block him in from leaving. The police were called and informed them that this was a civil matter wasting the officers time. While the officer was on scene **** and his wife **** were shouting racial ************ at my employee. After all was said and done and my employee was leaving they then tried to offer him cash less then what was owed to drop the bounce houses. He refused due to how he was treated. I informed him to leave immediately especially due to the circumstances. No business owner would preform a service for a client if they dont pay or call them racial slurs. The next morning my business was texted over 100 times to 3 different lines including the employee they treated poorly. They will never be allowed to rent from my business again. Harassment, racial slurs, failure to pay and entitlement attitude are the reasons we did not preform the service requested. Their refund was denied by my company and is currently being disputed by the bank. They wasted over 4 hours of my employees time. We setup multiple bounce houses every week and we never have any issues. My policies are on my website and I stick to them. Please see link below and screenshot.

1) "On time": The confirmation for your company states a 10 hour rental. Your employee showed up at 3pm. A 10 hour rental would indicate a 1am pick up time. Your website states (in capital letter none the less) SPECIFIC DELIVERY TIME WILL BE PROVIDED CLOSER TO YOUR RENTAL DATE." I never received confirmation. In fact, I had to call and text multiple times in order to get any kind of confirmation for set up. I was told that someone would be there at 10am for set up. This was clearly not the case.
2) I had nothing to do with a rental for a previous party. ***************************** (another HOA board member) set that party up. I did not reserve any bounce house and do not have any records of that transaction. I attended that party as a volunteer for set up. If ***************************** owes you money for a previous party- I recommend you contact her for payment. My interpretation of that event is that she requested a bounce house/slide and we were upgraded to a large slide (but because we were set up on asphalt, we wanted a bounce house for the younger kids) which we were not given. We did not ask for an upgrade. We only wanted two functions.... slide for older kids and bounce for younger kids. We did not request anything last minute. In fact you showed up with the wrong item THAT WE DID NOT RESERVE.
3) I do not have a second half of balance. Check your credit card statements. I paid the deposit and remainder on the same day (September 20) which makes it easier for me to feel for reimbursement from the **** I spoke with your employee (which I later find out was your girlfriend) and she was super accommodating to let me pay in full on September 20th. At no time did any employee or owner communicate that there was an extra charge for asphalt or community event set **** When the employee (****) showed up to set up, a simple explanation would have sufficed. I believe this was added to your terms and conditions after the event. If it was originally posted, this could have been communicated at the time of booking, time of confirmation (which didn't happen), day of event, or day after when I tried to reach the owner and he would not answer.
4) I do events for FREE for my community and YOU HAVE WATED OVER 10 HOURS OF MY TIME. I will continue to dispute with my credit card company for failure to provide service for my payment to your company. I will never use your company again and in fact will tell anyone I know not to use your company as well.
5) My husbands name is not ****. You should really try to get your stories right. Also, I shouted no racial slurs. Again, get your story right.
