We recently had a pool cage installed by the aforementioned contractor. The cage was completed in April. Since then, we've learned that the contractor never submitted an Order of Commencement following the completion of the cage. The pool was filled shortly after the cage's completion, so now we have water in it. In addition, we found several flaws to the cage including:a badly leaking downspout an improperly hung door a wrong sized door sweep stained framework gap between frame and deck ************************* sent his crew out to make repairs on several occasions, but they were unsuccessful. Since then, ************************* has failed to rectify these problems, despite our repeated requests.******** stated he refuses to deal with my wife (for unknown reasons), and has for all intents and purposes, abandoned the job.I paid ******** the agreed upon amount of $15,800.00 for a job he has not even submitted for final inspection, even though the job was completed in April. In addition, there are several issues that haven't been addressed. I would appreciate any guidance or assistance you could provide me at this pont. I don't want to pursue this civilly, but at this point, I may have no choice.Business response

Our office contacted ************** for some clarification as we do not have any records of installing this project neither receiving any payments from **************.
We originally did the paperwork for this project but did not have our crews installing it.
After a site visit, we confirmed that ************** had contracted with ************************* for this job and paid him in full, however there was some small issues with drainage and a screen door, we found out that ******************** used our company name for his contract which we were not aware of.
************** will contact the BBB again to advise that this was a misunderstanding and us as a courtesy will be taking care of the issues that the other company is refusing to resolve as well as closing his permit with the city

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.****, the owner of the company, immediately contacted me as soon as he became aware of the problem. He met with me the same day and explained the misunderstanding regarding *************************. **** then conducted a survey of the existing work, noted several issues, and subsequently corrected all of them. He didn't charge me a dime for the work, and has expedited the permitting process for us.
I'm sorry the business got caught up in this, but they responded like professionals, and I am more than happy with the results.
