Terrible Company!!!!! I was working with one of their sales reps for a few months when he was no longer available and they gave me another sales rep. Mind you, I had cleared Massey with my HOA, had documents notarized and a great deal of other work that was required. However, the new sales rep said that they COULD NO LONGER HONOR THEIR PRICE!!! So they sent me a new quote that increased their previous quote by $14,000; clearly not an honorable or reputable company at all. Fortunately we have other Roofing company bids but I would stay far far away from this unethical company. Very sad since I had recommended them to several of our fiends and neighbors. REALLY BAD COMPANY!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. We are clearly dismayed at the serious attempt at discrediting our company. 

The facts are that the prospective client never signed a contract with this company at any time, but rather attempted to dissect every line item on the original estimate provided. The prospective client furthermore was able to negotiate a lower price without compromising quality and service thereby maximizing his benefit which upon further review by management was not a feasible option. The business would rather not engage in a job that provides only an outlet for extremely hard work In precarious weather and extremely costly material valuation by our suppliers. Furthermore client claims that the company provided an estimate that did not reflect competitive pricing. The competition in the roofing field is fierce, consequently we are fierce defenders of our craft and as a leader in the industry have direct access to materials and supplies not usually available to mainstream operators; there is an advantage to working with Massey, expert work product and access to materials on an expedited timeline. 

The client did not consider the position that as leaders in the industry we are able to deliver a superior product on an expedited timeline at a fair price. The simple response here is you get quality and service from Massey; notwithstanding the client attempted to make demands to lower a price alleging that competitors were providing equal product/service without the benefit of allowing us to meet a competitor price based on equal product/service but rather chose to attempt to discredit the company and use words such as unethical when in reality the narrative here was very far from it but rather transparent from the onset. 

We deeply regret that the client was dissatisfied with the pricing provided, but in business today we are accustomed to attempting to cement a sale based on fair prices and a healthy relationship based on trust and hard work. In this case we werent able to convey our honest attempt at good business but rather we find ourselves responding to a complaint which In essence states the client didnt like the pricing given without a contract having been executed. 

Horrible experience. Took this guys one year to complete a job. CEO is the worst. Keeps quiet and solves nothing. Dont waste time and money with this horrible company.

This review does not give a complete picture of the the local and world happenings during the time frame whilst the project was being executed.

The writer insinuates that the the owner deliberately delayed a project not mentioning that supply chain issues, world Covid, and hurricanes occurred, for which we have no defense.

It isn't untrue that the timing of this project was slow, however, the writer was delivered a beautiful new roof executed with precision and beauty from skilled tradespeople who didn't cut any corners and delivered a quality product.  

It is regrettable that the entire picture isn't on display, but merely a distinct entitlement to a product delivery based on a promise to perform.  This is evident and understandable.  It isn't without significant effort that this project was completed, but rather with unexoected uncontrollable delays.  

It is very disappointing to read that this company is using supply chain issues, COVID, and a hurricane as an excuse for their delays. I hereby detail the events that happened:The contract agreement was signed in April of 2022, and it was mentioned that the materials would only arrive in June due to supply chain issues. On October 23rd, I received an email saying that the materials are being released and will be able to schedule your project. I have no issue with having a 4-month delay since I very well know about the supplies issues.On October 27th, the removal of the old roof begins On November 3rd, inspection of underlayment and secondary water barrier passed. December 5, progress inspection failed. The reason was no "Ladder must be provided, and installers must be at the site"Tiles get installed without progress inspection approval; then the contractor disappears for two months.February 14th, inspection failed. The reason was "Work was completed without tile in progress inspection" February 25th, I informed Mr. ***************************** (Company owner) about the situation. I never received an answer.March 23rd, new inspection was requested by the installer, inspection failed. The reason was "Roof was completed without tile in progress inspection. Contractor must be at the site to remove tiles at few locations, so that inspector can verify adhesive and tile type.March 27th, new inspection requested by installer, inpection failed. Reason was " Ladder must be provided, and installers must be at the site."April 3rd, I sent another email to Mr. **** ******, letting him know there had been no progress. Never answered.April 24th, new inspection requested. Inspection passed. Work is finalized.As you can see, the roof was incorrectly installed and ready in December. It took ****** Construction 4 months to fix all the errors they made and obtain final approval. These delays had nothing to do with natural disasters, supply chain issues, or the Global pandemic. It was only a consequence of poor project management and no involvement from the ****
