The transaction date was 2/16/2022 for the amount of $36,500 for a 2006 Bentley Flying Spur vehicle and was a vehicle I purchased out of state sight unseen. The dealership promised a car in good interior and exterior condition with all electronics working. The car is a foreign car and has K/M instead of MPH on the speedometer but was told the cluster gauge in the dash has MPH so I wouldn't have to worry. That gauge never worked and told the speed which was egregiously misrepresented. When I got the car there was a crack in the drivers side door in the wood paneling that was never mentioned that seems pretty darn important. The drivers side mirror motor came not functioning. I brought it up to the dealership and they told me in no certain terms that it was my fault that I bought the car sight unseen and for trusting them throughout the process. I would just like for them to pick up the car and take it back and me to get my money back. The dealership has made it crystal clear they don't want anything to do with helping me. I just want to get restitution for this ridiculous description they offered me.

      Business response

      04/20/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/04/01) */ The purchase information is correct. The customers recollection of the transaction is incorrect. First, we offered the customer (twice) an opportunity for multiple warranty options. All used Bentley have issues, which is why we always have the customers sign a form declining a warranty. The customer was also emailed and responded to declining an extended warranty. 1. When the car was delivered to ******, apparently the mirror did not work, so we told him the contact the shipping company, because it was damaged during shipping. The mirror(s) worked correctly when the Bentley left the dealership. The car was inspected by us and the shipper before leaving the dealership, the shipping company is licensed and bonded and ****** said he would work with the shipper on repairs. We have zero control on that issue. Not sure why he would blame us for that? 2. There was a crack on the inside door (wood laminate) which is normal for older Bentleys, we provided 150 digital photos of the car, including the door panel "before ****** made the purchase". The hairline crack is under the clear coating and part of the reason we listed the car for $6K under market and gave ****** $2K off our price. Again, he knew what he was purchasing "an older Canadian Bentley". 3. Digital Speedometer - ****** knew upfront that this car is a Canadian Car with a "Kilometers Speedometer" and does have a digital portion of the speedometer but does not show U.S. miles. This was also included in the photos and by the salesperson. However, because there was some miscommunication between ****** and our salesman, I (dealership owner) offered to compensate ****** (customer) and help with replacing the gauges in his city. He never responded with any estimates, nor will he answer my calls. So I stopped calling and figured he handled it on his own. We (AutoHaus of Naples) promised a car with good interior and exterior condition with all electronics working. This is exactly what was delivered to the customer. However, because ****** had some complaints, we want happy customers no matter what, and offered to help pay for the conversion (Kilometers to U.S. Miles) on the speedometer. On our last phone call, ****** was very rude and disrespectful, however I still offered to help pay for it. Not sure what we could have done differently other than not selling him the car. He said he is a business owner, and we hope he treats his customers better than he talked to us. Damon - Owner
