The other complaints are almost word for word what the other complaints are, free dash cam, $5.82 for shipping, then BAMMM a charge for $89.95 for some nonsense subscription that was never even discussed, tried to get my back to reverse the charge and so far-nothing! The so called dash cam is a product, if thats what you want to call it, that I would let my 4 year old granddaughter play with until it breaks, which shouldnt be long! Sorry of an excuse since its apparently just scamming people out of money! RIDICULOUSReview from Dotty M

I answered a survey for *** ********. I ordered the dashcam and received it in the mail. I got confirmation emails for shipping and handling. I was surprised when I got my credit card statement with a charge of $82.45. I called the number for Select Home Living. I spoke to a customer rep and she said I was past the date to cancel the membership for consumer services. I told her I never received any email. She said the information is on our website **************************. The problem is this website dies not exist. I contacted my credit card company to file a disputed charge claim. Evidently these people are operating under different names. The dash cam is a piece of trash.Review from Victor B

I feel the bank card let's this happen by not reversing the charge and allowing the dish cam to be returned. This has stopped me from doing any surveys online. Want me to answer a survey? Send me money first if not don't waste your time. As Richard Dawson would say Survey Says..... NO Way. #1 answer

Pilot Automotive is a manufacturer. We do not deal with the public. We do not do surveys. We are wholesale based only. Our customers are Walmart, Auto Zone, Lowes, Home Depot etc. We do not take payments from the public. We get these calls from time to time but if you check you bank statement i am sure Pilot Automotive will not be on it.Review from Malisa J

Well after reading all the review seems I've been fooled as well my card has been charged not confirmation email. No receipt no product or anything. No customer service number on hand. I did a survey was offered the dashcam in which I was to pay shipping and handling however it didn't allow me to cancel and charge my card anyways. Please beware of these survey emails and texts. Pilot Automotive dash cameras are sold at Major Retail stores Walmart being the main store. We do not do survey's and we do not take credit card payments from the public. We are wholesale based only. I am sorry that this has happened to you but this was not done by Pilot Automotive.Review from Danielle A

My story is exactly the same as Brian below me they are a huge scam I was charged an extra 117.99 dollars , when I called the number that was in my charge in my bank account , I told them I want my money back bcz I never agreed To pay no 117.99 $ the lady said yea you agreefed it's in our web page and I said your lying to me and you are stealing my money I said if it was going to be 117.99 why not charge me the moment I was purchasing it online instead of the 6.49 ? Why not charge me then so I could clearly see it, she hung up on me , this company needs to go to jail for criminal theft ! This is clearly a criminal case against these scammersReview from Brian B

Big SCAM. Got an email from Lowes about a survey. Complete a short survey and pick 1 of 5 items one being a Dash Cam. All you have to do is pay a shipping fee. The shipping fee stated $4.99. After completing the survey and paying the shipping charge I decided to check my bank account online. After doing so I noticed they charged me $6.99. Not a huge amount over the stated shipping charge but enough for me to do a quick online scam search. After doing the search I noticed over 150 complaints and that almost every complaint stated they were charged several times totaling $100 to $200+ over a month's time. After reading all this info I contacted my bank and disputed the $6.99 charge. Before it was removed by my bank another charge for $6.99 appeared as well as a charge for $49.97. This is what worked for ME. Contacted my bank. Informed them again of the SCAM. They said it would take 5 to 10 days to credit back my account. They also recommended I close out that debit/credit card and get a new one so the company could NO LONGER bill me for any new charges. That worked as they no longer have any valid debit/charge card info from me. After reviewing my bank account ( about 5 days later ) I noticed my bank refunded me the entire amount. Anyone who was recently scammed act fast and I recommend you follow the steps above that I stated. It worked for me and I got ALL my money back.Gadget Dashcam Response

To whom it may concern, we are unable to locate an account for Mr. ****** We tried with the information provided. First and last name, zip code, email address. We were unable to locate anything. We also do not have charges that match the above amounts.
If Mr. ***** can provide the information of the person the account is under we can check again and try to resolve any concern. Unfortunately, at this time it appears to be another company.

I was also charged the S/H and tricked into paying the extra $20 for a 8gb SD Card that I could have purchased at Walmart for less then $10, but then about 15 days later, the charge for $89.99 showed up on my account. Pure scam.
