      On 01/25/2024 I paid ******* to start school at the Florida Truckers Institute. After I paid I lost my income and was unable to continue as I search for new employment. The guy I spoke to *** or ****) told me to get the **** ***** and he'd give me a refund. After being able to get the ***** (months later) I told him and he said he'd give my money back when he gets the ***** and will reach out to the career source to make the transaction happen. Two weeks later I reached out to my career source sponsor and she said that he never reached out and his school does not take the ***** at all. When I reached out to him he said he will talk to her once again and I was told he never did reach out. I have now been attending a different school with the ***** and my instructors have informed me that I'm not the only one that this has happened to with this company. I've tried to reach out to him and he has not responded.

      ********************* enrolled into the *** Class A program on 1/24/2024.  **************** agreed to pay his tuition of $2995 with the following payment plan (50%/25%/25%).  **************** made his first payment of $1497.50.  **************** completed his registration process, attended his Zoom classes and obtained all the necessary documents to start school.  On February 9th,2024, **************** submitted a picture of his Medical DOT card which is another requirement of his enrollment.  He also stated that he lost his job and was looking for another one.  **************** made no mention that he was withdrawing from school.  **************** did not communicate with the school for quite a while until the school reached out to him on March 27th, 2024, to see how he was progressing.  **************** stated that he was still looking for a job, but again made no mention that he was withdrawing from the school.  **************** did not communicate with the school until June 4th when the school reached out to him.  **************** again stated that he still has not found a job.  **************** also submitted his *** Permit which is another requirement of the program.  The school suggested to **************** that he might be able to get a training voucher from CareerSource which is the local state unemployment office.  The school stated that if he secures the training voucher to cover the cost of the training he could qualify for a refund of his initial deposit. The school made no guarantee that **************** would receive a refund. The refund would only be considered if **************** successfully received the training voucher.  According to Mr.******* ********** he states that he has received a training voucher and is using it to enroll into a different school. This action would void Mr. ******* ability to receive a full refund from our school.
      The school is willing to provide a partial refund of Mr. ******* deposit excluding administrative and cancellation fees.

      After receiving the ***** I spoke to **/**** on the phone to tell him I got the ***** and he said he would reach out to my Career Source ************** After waiting a week I called the Counselor and she told me that **/**** hasn't reached out to her and that the Florida Truckers Institute doesn't even take the ***** ****** How would I attend a school if they won't accept a payment? I was promised by **/**** on the phone if I get the ***** I would get my money back. I did everything I need to get my money back. But you never accepted the payment or even tried to reach out to the Career Source Counselor/Rep

      The ***** was never assigned to our school.  For whatever reason which is unbeknownst to our school we did not receive the final approval.  The last communication we received from CareerSource on June19th stated that your application was being processed and approved.  The email further states that they were waiting for some information to go forward with ****************.  The email further states that if approved, need to schedule his start date sometime in July due to fund availability.  I believe there was a stop in funding in July from CareerSource.  We have no control over that.  Further, I believe all training providers at the time had to re-apply with a new state system.  This may have caused a delay in receiving any approvals.

      We are not responsible for not accepting or denying funds from CareerSource.  If **************** decided not to wait to continue with our school was his choice.  If **************** was able to get another ***** to use at a different school was his choice.  ********** did not receive any additional funds to justify a full refund of his deposit.

      As mentioned in the last message, we are willing to provide a refund minus any administrative and cancellation fees.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I just had my friend call and he asked how much the administration fee was and **** said there was no additional fees besides the state examiners fee. Which he responded was 375 once your complete the course and that money goes to the state examiner (which is a separate fee). I also recorded the conversation as proof.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      They stated they'd give me a refund minus "admin" fees and cancel fees. But never talked about numbers what that would be, I had a friend call and ask the normal price. **** stated here was a sale going on just like he did with me and possibly many others. When asked about additional fees **** stated the only other fee is the end of course test. The cancel fees only go on how much time you spend. I only did 3 one hour zoom classes. You can reach out to my instructors at Fleet Force and they will tell you I'm not the only person this has happened to when it comes to The Florida Truckers Institute *********************** also you reach out to my career source ************* and she will tell you **** never reach to get the ***** ************ her name is *****. Attached is the video proof **** saying there was no other fees (being the admin fees he's trying to charge me) besides a end of course exam fee.
