A Florida Dirt Group lawn mower driver flung a object and hit my car and after initially taking responsibility went back on what they said when I started to work with there insurance and now are refusing to pay the full cost to repair my vehicle.

      Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/11) */ Once we received pictures of the damage we realized this damage was not caused by something flying out from underneath a zero turn lawn mower. This person is trying to falsify where the damage actually came from. The pictures show what looks like a concrete block was dropped from about 10 feet coming down and damaging the frame next to the windshield and front door. We have always owned up to our mistakes and taken care of any damage caused by our company employees or equipment. Three employees were working in the area and no one heard any bangs, knocks, or noise as if something had hit a vehicle. This driver pulled over and claimed we had damaged his vehicle but after further review we believe this claim to be false. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/05/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) What is being said is patently false. There was only one driver of a lawn mower when I was hit. when I pulled over telling him that his lawn mower flung something and hit my vehicle, he had to call his supervisor who drove to our location and took about 5 minutes to get there. so there was no other workers other than the lawn mower him self. Florida dirt group is just trying to get out of paying for my vehicle. My vehicle is a brand new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado things don't just fall out of the sky and hit vehicles or from 10 ft above the vehicle either the only thing that could have caused this damage was something coming out of that lawn mower there was no prior damage. They're absolutely was a loud bang and if lawn mower operator didn't hear anything it's most likely because he was wearing headphones and operating a loud lawn mower. Florida dirt group it's just trying to avoid an insurance payout. they should be punished for this terrible service to the community and myself. I will be following up with a complaint with the county. They should be ashamed of themselves. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/05/12) */ I am more than willing to pay for damage caused by our equipment or employees. Please advise me as to what could have flown out from underneath a lawn mower that would be that large and that heavy to fly that high to cause that type of damage. We have been in this business for 9 years and have experienced small rocks that could shoot out and ding a door, chip the paint, or bust a window all of those items we are willing to accept responsibility for. Unfortunately, there are people who falsify claims for monetary gains. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/05/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) anything could have flown out of the mower, it happened so fast I did see exactly what it was. as to how it reached that high, the middle median is sloped to the center for drainage so the mower chute was pointing directly up at where the object hit. I was pursuing the repair cost, a rental vehicle for the time of repair, and diminished value. I understand that Diminished value can be argued. but I was only offered half the repair cost. I would have excepted only the repair cost and rental. but to offer me only half is insulting. I am not trying to get money out of this. I am just asking for Florida dirt group to do the right thing. on the day your employee was totally understanding and excepted responsibility. so either the owner is trying to get out of this or the employee is afraid of the reproduction's if he admits to it. I dont know which is which but someone is definitely lying purely based on the lie told in the previous comment that there were multiple people working on site when there was only one.
