Chose fabric for cushion recovering and ordered fabric on April 22, 2021 from Mel's Upholstery. Deposit was for $750.00, which was approximately cost of fabric (757.90). Fabric has been backordered from mill for 7 months, but I got a call from Mel on December 2, 2021 that fabric had arrived. Mel also left me his cell phone number to call back and confirm that I still wanted work done. His cell number is XXX-XXX-XXXX. When I called the business the next day a voice mail said that they were closed for a personal reason and they would be open the following Monday. Both the phone number of the business and cell number now have generic voice mail which states mailbox is full and cannot accept new messages. I drove by the business and doors are locked. No explanation was posted on doors.Business response

Consumer Response /* (2000, 17, 2022/01/27) */ The business had closed suddenly due to Covid-related illness. There were no phone messages or signage to suggest this, but the matter seems to be resolved.
