This bank repeatedly refused test deposits from Connexus Credit Union, causing them to have to try again and again, which nearly cost me to lose my account with Connexus. Beach Bank refused them without notifying me or even trying to reach out to ask me about them. This has been going on for several weeks, and it was a nightmare to get this straightened out. When they finally allowed all the mini-deposits through, they assured me that everything would now be fine. However, Connexus Credit Union then had to withdraw their 11 test deposits, and Beach Bank fraudulently charged me $3 for each "excessive" withdrawal - withdrawals which would not have been necessary at all, if they had simply accepted the first test deposit. After 12 years of being a loyal customer, I feel betrayed and completely disappointed on how they treat their customers.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/31) */ After the micro deposit hits the external account (Beach Bank) the client is supposed to log back into their online banking portal with the other institution and verify the amounts deposited. If the amounts match the amounts sent, then the authentication process is complete and external transfer can be submitted. Ms. **** was a long-time client with Beach Bank so therefore as a goodwill gesture, we are refunding the excess withdrawal fees charged and will mail her a check for $33 to the address listed on her account. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/03/31) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Beach Bank says they are refunding the excess withdrawal fees charged and will mail me a check for $33 to the address listed on my account. If they do not live up to their agreement, I will request the complaint case be reopened.Initial Complaint
