I wrote a letter to you back in the end of March of 2022. Did not get a response. Am trying this ave. Last year I gave Donald smith a check for 1500.00 dollars. He was suppose to have my gates built in 2 months, but to no email. I was in contact with him all year the last time he texted me was March 24 of this year telling me once again he would have gates finished in one week. He confessed to me in Jan of this year that someone was seeing him for $30,000 for work he did not do also. This guy is just fleecing the consumer. And appears nothing is being done to stop him. I told him of aug last year that I needed my gates to prevent my dogs from going off the property and getting hit by a car. He told me he would get them done. But he never did. Then in November one of my dogs got out, mini snow., and got killed. All because I paid mr Smith for a gate and his lies about building me one. The person that hit my dog took to vet hospital. Where she was doa. But that did not stop them from vet from charging me a bill for there non service. So now I'm up to $2,700. In the whole From what I paid mr Smith cost of pet and vet bill. When I called mr Smith his reaction was of (could of cared less) attitude. This man needs to pay back money and to be stopped from fleeting people. Which is called fraud. Taking money under false pretense. ********Business response

I told her that I was not able to do anything at that time and wasn't sure when, I have been dealing with health issues and problems within my family which has taken everything from me. I'm trying to get back on track and it will take time. But I tried to resolve this with her months ago and she refused. Said she wasn't interested in the money that she wanted the gates even though I discussed what I was dealing with. And this was long before anything else that I told her. My entire point to her was that I couldn't get to her but she kept on regardless to anything I said. I have never frauded anyone. Everything was always explained but didn't matter. It will take a couple weeks but I will get her deposit money together and get it back to her.Thank you, Don Smith Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2022/07/12) */ Please reopen case I have not heard from the welder nor has he attempted to pay me the money he owes me. Thanks.
