I signed a lease for *********************** for my daughter in August 2021 for one year. While she was living there an incident occured where she came from the laundry and found her apartment ransacked in March 2022. She called the police and made a police report the same day. In this incident the glass top stove was broken. After she submitted a copy of the police report to the manager's office. There was another incident where she found the handyman inside her apartment while she was inside using the restroom. She called the police and when they were going to arrest the handyman. He called the manager who apologized to her. So she let it go. After the lease ended we received a letter stating that they are claiming $605 from my deposit money because of the damage for the glass top stove. I objected to the claim in writing. Since I didn't hear from the manager, ****, I have decided to go speak to him in his office. I went 3times before finally finding him on 10/14/2022. I told him my daughter was not the one who broke the glass top stove and that we shouldn't be the one paying for it because she was a victim also. He told me my daughter is the one who broke the stove. I asked him to show the recordings from the camera for the apartment. He told me he doesn't have to show me anything. I asked to speak to the owner and he told me the owner will not talk to me. Then he slammed the office door in my face and left me sitting there outside. I need my complete $925.00 deposit.
