            Builder offers 12-month warranty The front door is not installed properly. There is a gap at the bottom were insects, snakes. can enter the house. The builder sent out people to repair the door. They said they have to get materials and will return. They did not. Called builder warranty and they scheduled door company to come out. They came and said they have to get materials and return. They never return. Builder scheduled door company to come out. Waited all day they never showed up. This has been going on for almost a year. Never resolved and warranty expires 12/9/2022.The pocket door in the laundry room opens itself when closed. This has never been fixed.

            It has taken 2 years to build my house one. During the sales process we were told 12 to 15 months. The process has been lengthy with poor communication and while the builder has used good materials, generally workmanship has been challenging. I was told that the last of the punch list was taken care of and when I return to the house I realized that window meshes were missing and today I found that the sliding glass door in the master bedroom does not lock in addition to the fact that one of the door seals has a hole becoming a home for ants. I will have the home sprayed but the fact of the matter is that attention to details clearly lacking when you look very closely the details of the house. This building experience has highlighted a number of consumer protection issues that I will be flagging for CFPB. That being said, I'm hearing similar stories from other consumers about different builders, so this might represent a broader issue in the industry.
