Contracted turf enough lawn care. They collected their money during the slow months when they only needed to come out 1-2 times a month. They did not trim or maintain the property to the standards that they promised. When the rainy season started he fires us stating that health reasons were why he could not continue. Two days later he posted looking for new business and blocked me from all communication.Business response

you were a customer for nearly 3 years. We mowed weekly during the rainy season and bi-weekly during the dry season. We took care of your property for all that time with no complaints about the service. Now that we had to cancel your service which we did with enough time for you to find a new lawn person you are complaining about the service. Cancelling any customer was not something that we wanted to do. It was necessary at the time. We needed to down size due to my husbands illness and the inability to find a trust worthy employee. Once again we did not block you on social media but deleted ******** entirely for the business as we do not feel it is a platform we want to use any longer.
I am sorry that you are upset that you have to look for a new lawn person to take care of your property but we have given you plenty of time to do that and we did exactly what we stated we would when we took care of your property. As for looking for new business that was our marketing company before we could tell them not to post or advertise for new business.
As far as we are concerned we did everything that we stated we would during the period we took care of your property.Initial Complaint

I would like a refund of $105 for only receiving 1 out of 4 ************* for the month of August. In the email thread **** tried to tell me he lost money by signing me to a contract that he suddenly backed out of. He then promised to send a refund which a month+ later I have not received. I tried to keep things pleasant but he seems to be a very shifty business owner. I can't imagine recommending his company after my experience.Business response

Im sorry that you feel the need to bring a complaint to the better business bureau. As you know I have been dealing with some health issues and have been somewhat preoccupied. I understand that it has nothing to do with your situation and you want a resolution. Well to speak directly to that a check was written and mailed on 9/5/2022 for $98 to help you recover some of your monies spent on lawn care in August. You should have received it by now. If you do not receive it in the next few days please let us know and we will cancel that check and issue another one.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. While I had calculated a refund of $105 based on only receiving 1 cut for the month of August 2022, I will accept $98 if a check is mailed to the address I indicated in my email on August 10, 2022 and will consider the complaint closed and deleted once that check has cleared deposit. I did receive some texts from **** today that seemed to be in poor taste, in particular in his own words "because my wife has cancer but you tell the Better Business Bureau its because Im losing money which is not true so I apologize that my wifes dying and you didnt get the refund check yet what you shouldve gotten already".In the email attachment I uploaded to this complaint, also in ****'s own words on August 10, 2022 "No refund Im actually at the lost cause its still based on per cut so when we were out 4 times in may 5 times June and July u still only paid the $140 Instead of $210". That is inaccurate; I signed up for per cut service at $35 a cut back in May 2022, and was billed per cut (over charged $7 per cut for May 13 & 22) until my first contract monthly payment of $140 on July 1, 2022.
****'s wife ****** has been much easier to deal with and she's the one battling ***** issues. I'd prefer to deal with her only until the check clears.

On 7/24 we were asked to sign a contract changing our lawn service frequency to a monthly service from a per cut agreement. We were billed 175 for the next month and the payment was deducted out of our checking account. Then on 8/10 we received subsequent email stating that d/t a lack a staff and medical issue with his wife our contract was being cancelled and the charge taken out was for the one lawn done on 29th of July.
