On 10/25/21 my mother and I hired this Capital City Movers to move ** from ***********, ** to *********, **. My *************************** ******** paid around $15,000 to move our things. During this process I had to rent 3 moving trucks because we were told there would be 2 **Haul trucks and thankfully I rented the **Haul trucks because the mover smashed everything into 1 truck with no coverings for our furniture padding nothing wrapped except what we wrapped. Everything has gouges on it or scratches, chipped, My mother was so devastated because all of her furniture was antique, her 6th generation rocking chair has so many gouges in it. She never received any apology from the worker or company. She paid half up front which when I spoke with the owner he was changing the arrangement along with price after everything was loaded. I tried reaching out to the company about the damages done to everything and was told someone will get back with me which never happened. I still have the email along with all the pictures which includes damage done to our new house that has a hole in 1 room, scuffed marks all over plus a door the mover messed up. All we wanted them to do was give back half of the money but when I reached out to a lawyer they explained to me good luck because theyre on the East Coast and in *******. I know its been a few years I thought I did this but none of this looks familiar and after being told that I couldnt do anything frustrated us. If we can get a least half of the money back would be greatly appreciated.
