This as got to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. They nickel and died me from the beginning. I was quoted $435 initially and reluctantly approved that amount. I have insurance with Choice Warranty and did not expect any out of pocket. Found out later, there were modifications required not covered by the insurance company. Because of the leakage with the heater, the room was filled with mold, and the room had to be treated. In order for the room to be treated, it means, the heater would have to be removed, room treated, then water heater installed. Kintext, decided to be me.an additional $150 for the visit. At the time the water heater was removed, the removal of an HWC($65), not sure of the abbreviations, was also removed, which was included in the original price.of $435. Meaning this amount would have been excluded from the original Quote of $435, bringing it to$370.

I called Kintext to prepare installation after the treatment of molds. I was then told two to three weeks after my original quote, that I now owe $595 instead. I was shocked and asked why. I was told they did not know Choice was not covering the Vault of $85 dollars. After going back and forth with the company, they then stated the bill would be $455, to include the $370 plus the new price for the Vault of $85.

My understanding ieir company.. I felt Kintex did not do their due dilligence, and it was unfair to past that cost on to me. This is an issue between Choice and Kintex. Both Choice and I tried to remove these issues, but Kintext sticked by their words.

Last Thursday, the water heater was installed and instead of the $485, my bill was $435, the original amount. Most may say, but you were billed what ou agreed on, but in reality, no. I already pay $65 for the HWC, so my original bill would have e been reduced to $308 as stated above. The company acknowledged that tjey had removed the $65 from the original amount of $435. So in essence, I only got $20 reduced from the new amount of $455.

They were professional in their behavior, but passing on the expense to the customer, because due diligent was not done is unfair. My bill should have been $370 as the $65 was already paid.

They did nothing to try to resolve and maintain their name. They lacked customer care. This is one company I will never used again. I Why did they need all these modifications to replace a heater?

Ms ***, we have sent you all documentation regarding what we charged you for on the non-covered costs. We never implied that the service fee you paid was part of the non-covered costs. The service fee is a different charge that is due at the end of the first diagnostic visit. We have all our calls recorded and documented to prove we never discussed having the service fee included in the noncovered charges. You should be reaching out to your home warranty as they are the ones that decide what they will cover from our costs provided to them. You requested a separate visit from the installation to disconnect the WH, this is where the confusion started since we have a set price when this type of work is done. We did remove the disposal and HRU charges from the original NCC but your home warranty was the one that kept giving different amounts of what they wanted to cover so our charges were always the same, your home warranty is the one that kept changing the covered costs. Please reach out to them if you are not satisfied with the coverage they provide you
