This company is impossible to work with. They are holding my money hostage from an insurance claim I had. I do not want to use them to fix my roof, but they refuse to provide a release. They have not performed any work, have not pulled any permits, and illegally want to charge a 10% cancellation fee of my settlement which was not agreed upon. They are not licensed adjusters and cannot charge a percentage of my claim. They really just solicit for the attorneys that work for them so they can make money.

Unfortunately the customer is trying to get advantage and is distorting the facts clearly an attempt in by threatening break a contract. This customer called asking for help with a damaged roof from Hurricane ****, We promptly inspected her roof and found enough damages that could be related to the hurricane and suggested to her to reopen the claim that unsuccessfully she handling before We inspected the roof and provided all the evidences which were used in the claim by her attorneys. All the legit paperwork was submitted and her file was approved by the insurance company and the insurance company made a payment including our company in the check understanding the right the company has. After receiving the check the homeowner got grid and just want that the company releases her for the contract which would be unjust to say less. During the waiting time and after all the inspections and paperwork prepared and used by the attorneys the company also offered and kept the assurance that in an event of any leaks due to the roof conditions the company would perform an emergency temp repair to prevent more damages, as demanded. We during all the process helped the legal team providing all the information they requested. Now the ** wants the the company just get no compensations at all, initially even alleging that didnt know the company. The question is why the contractors name was put in the check? Would the insurance company add the companys name in the check sent to the homeowner if that was not legal and right? From the hundreds and hundreds of satisfied customers the company has served in more than 20 years, unfortunately are a few ones that try to get undeserved advantage and that is one of them. We will keep our word and stand for all the commitments we make and we wait the same from our customers. Thats is the truth.

I am rejecting this response because: the company is not doing anything to resolve this issue and misstating facts. They came to my house soliciting for their company to then have me sign a contract with their attorney. They say the insurance company added them to the check because it is legal, when in fact the reason they were added was because the attorney they solicited for asked the insurance company to add them during settlement. There is NOTHING in the "contract" I signed that says I have to pay them a percentage of my insurance claim, which should have nothing to do with the cost of a job. This company solicits claims by going door-to-door, and then says the amount of money their attorney gets for the claim is how much their labor/project will cost. They are illegally trying to act as public adjusters and hold homeowner's hostage without the ability to do their roof with anybody else.

      Sincerely,

Again the customer is not stating the truth. EZ ********************** never received any payments and the check was never sent to EZ General. The company tried to help the customers and she does not want to recognize the contract she engaged the one that was delivered and processed by the customer's attorney. At that point and time nothing we can do as the customer does not honor the contract, Again, EZ General never received any payments and the customer received a check from the insurance company that rightly added the company's name on it, recognizing the legitimacy of he contract. Even with the customer tried to dodge her responsibilities EZ General is open to settle this issue but it has to be via customer's attorney in the conditions already offered to the customer.

I am rejecting this response because it is not accurate. I have attached the contract which details both of our duties. NOWHERE does it say they can charge me a percentage of my insurance claim because that is unlicensed public adjusting. I have requested to terminate the contract and they refuse to honor it. They have not performed any services so they are not entitled to any monies pursuant to this contract. They refuse to give me a release to let me move on with my repairs with a qualified roofer.

      Sincerely,

      *****************************

EZ General & Roofing already offer the customer alternatives to get in a resolution, but unfortunately the customer does not come to an reasonable agreement and keeps dodging her responsibilities. She should reach out to her attorney and make it right. EZ General keeps the good faith, the same business standard we have over 20+ years in successful business with thousands of satisfied customers. We once again recommend the customer to think straight and to be. reasonable.
