This is VERY concerning.. It's said, "lie by omission".. Feel that this is the case.. In May 2020, we purchased a beautiful 2017 Cadillac XTS from Sullivan Cadillac, Ocala, Fl.. We were told EVERYTHING was GREAT.. No accidents, no issues, no problems concerning this car.. This month, we decided to trade the Cadillac, which has been my FAVORITE car I've ever owned.. to trade for an SUV.. Found a car we liked.. 1st dealership low balled the car for a trade in.. XTS is in GREAT condition.. Expected at LEAST $3000 or so more than what they'd give us.. We couldn't understand why.. NEXT dealership did the same thing.. & sooo on.. Finally, came to a dealership that told us they found the information on Auto Check,, NOT ******.. Auto Check said that our XTS had body damage in Inverness, FL. in 2018.. Also, Hertz Rental also had it as a rental car.. Auto Check also red flagged the car as it says it looked like the speedometer had been tampered with. When we bought the car, it had approximately 25,500 miles May 2017.. Auto Check says on December 30, 2022 when we had the oil & filter change IN Sullivan's in Ocala, the mileage was 23,495.. It actually had around 50,000 when we had oil & filter change at Sullivan's, December 30th.. ALL of this EXPLAINS WHY we can NOT get what the car is WORTH!! My husband called Rich, sales manager at Sullivan.. Rich said that yes, it was THEIR MISTAKE as mileage WAS entered in correctly.. He'd fix it.. You CAN'T change once it's entered.. What about the OTHER things we were NOT told about!! BEWARE.. THEY are NOT HONEST!! I lost over $3000 on my trade-in because of NOT being told ALL going on with car & NOT entering correct information.. BE WARE!!! Dealerships are using more Auto Check than ******.. Rich, sales manager at Sullivan told my husband it's over 2 years, nothing can be done.. WHAT???? Only WAY we KNEW was because we traded.. Sullivan was NOT HONEST, by Omission.. VERY UPSETTING.. I traded in my 2017 acura ilx for a 2017 cadillac ats luxury 2.0 T on 12.31.21. A day or two after I noticed a grinding noise when I would turn the steering wheel, as though something was rubbing against the tire. I took it back to the dealership and they assured me that nothing was wrong with the car that it didn't make the noise when they looked at it. Weird how they didnt find it but it didnt make the noise again. Fast forward to March when I take the vehicle for an oil change. When I signed the contract to finance the vehicle an extended warranty was offered to me which was supposed to cover oil changes (oil, filter, etc) and tire rotation. When i check my car in they proceed to tell me that my oil change was covered but I would have to pay for an oil filter. I have had this same extended warranty plan with my previous vehicle, so I am well aware of what I should have to spend out of pocket, and an oil filter is not one of them. They proceeded to insist that this was what I signed when I financed the vehicle. I asked them to cancel my appointment and I left. A week later I took it to the Cadillac in Pompano Beach and was assured by a service advisor that my oil filter is indeed covered under my warranty. In addition to that he also made me aware that my tires were in really bad condition and that I needed to get them changed because there were multiple "chunks" that had fallen off of the tires already. Not expecting to have to buy new tires (for a car I purchased from a respectable Cadillac dealership only a months ago) I didn't not have the funds for extra tires. The advisor instructed me to take it back to Sullivan so that they could look at it themselves. I called them scheduled an appt. and when I take the car in they tell me nothing is wrong with the tires. All in all I have yet to take the car to the actual dealership i purchased it from for an oil change because they are ripping people off, and those chunks? Yeah they're there alright. Pics if needed.
