On 3/27/2022 Bret (owner of business) agreed to make a metal trellis for us. The cost was $350 USD that was charged to our credit card that day. He said he would have the piece finished in 10 days. After two weeks of not hearing from him, we called and he said he would have it done the following week. This also did not happen. After multiple in-person, text messages and unanswered phone calls asking for our money to be refunded we felt we had to take the issue further. His staff Kersten and Theresa also stated to us they would personally talk to him about our issue and have him contact us, with Theresa stating she would call us and let us know. We never received a call from her either.Initial Complaint

We purchased a fountain from Moon Tide Garden Escapes in November, 2021. After realizing that we had to refill it with water every other day, we contacted the owner, Brett, who came to our house to examine it. Brett said the tubing was incorrect and that he would be back with the proper fittings to make it right. In the last six months Brett has made at least ten appointments to come to our hose to fix it, and has failed to show up every time. We call and text him daily, with no response, and he won't answer his phone. We paid $450 for this fountain and just want it to work properly.Initial Complaint

Purchased 3 large pots for $374 and was told a Monday morning delivery. Never happened. On Tuesday Brett F**** stated he had a sick pet and would deliver Wednesday morning. Never happened. Thursday he stated there was an accident and would deliver Friday by 10:30 am. No show.Business response

I paid Brett F****, owner of Moontide Garden Escapes $5475.00 in Nov/Dec of 2021 for cement work to be done at our home at ****************************************. He said if I paid this amt. up front, I would get a discount. So I did. He said the work was to begin shortly after the first of the year. It is April 29th now, and no work even started. I have been in touch with Brette several times, each time being given an excuse ( his wife had surgery, he was in the hospital and almost died, he had been bitten by a spider (X2), he was in Mexico, he was in Texas for a funeral, his wife & her sister and friend all got covid while in Orlando at a party, it rained, his workers all had covid, etc..etc..etc. I was always told he would come the next week or in a couple of days. when the scheduled days came, he never showed. So I asked him for a complete refund of the money on April 22, 2022. I was told he would mail a check out. no check has come so far and no correspondence from him either. I told Brett I felt like He was running a pondzie scheme. I do not think he has ever really intended to do my cement job, or that he never even really knew how to do the job. I believe he just wanted the money from me. I have been taken advantage of and he has committed fraud.
