I had my roof redone about 3 years ago, with a 30 year warranty, shortly after there was a leak in my garage roof. They came back and "fixed" it. Well it was not fixed it's still leaking. For month I have call them leaving messages about my roof leak, never heard anything back. Out of nowhere the manger or supervisor shows up and looks at it and says he will be back Monday, doesn't show up. Said he would be there on Friday, doesn't show up. That was over a month ago now, I have his direct number and I call and leave messages several times a week with no response.

Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/06/02) */ this has been taken care of a few weeks ago this was a flashing detail definitely not a 2000.00 repair. Due to weather, job schedules and customers only available on certain days can be a challenge ,sorry for any inconvenience Consumer Response /* (3000, 14, 2022/06/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I call and left messages for month and never got a return call. Even called the "supervisor's" direct number for a month leaving messages. They only came out after I contacted another company and The BBB. they did come out and slather black stuff all over that area of the roof, still yet to know if it will stop the leak. The inside of my garage ceiling is a mess due to the leak, will have to have that fixed before I can tell if the job was completed correctly. Business Response /* (4000, 16, 2022/06/08) */ WE HAD 2 CUSTOMERS CALLING AT AROUND THE SAME TIME LAST NAME WEAVER, WHILE SERVICE GUY WAS TAKING CARE OF THE FIRST WEAVER WASN'T AWARE OF THE SECOND AND THE SECOND HAD GOTTEN MARRIED AND NOW LAST NAME IS NOW TAPPEINER WHICH NONE OF US WAS AWARE. I HAVE NOW CHANGED HER INFORMATION ON THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK SO THIS CANT HAPPEN AGAIN. I WILL SEND MY DRYWALL GUY OUT TO TAKE CARE OF THE DRYWALL AT NO COST. IM SORRY ON THE CONFUSION WITH THIS.

Below was submitted to BBB to get Custom Roofing and Coatings to complete the re- roof on my home! May, 2021 I hired Custom Roofing, Ocala (Blake *******) to do a re-roof on my home. Paid via Visa. Unknown to me Blake furnished my card number to Sunniland (shingle provider) for payment and did not process it via Custom Roofing. I did not give Fleshers permission to charge my Visa thru SunniIand's books. I have texted Blake and the owner Darryl ******** numerous times. The job was not complete as the fascia does not meet up with the structure leaving access to the structure by weather, insects and critters. Only once was there a response by Darryl stating he needed to bring a workman to see what was needed. Since then my texts show they are read but I receive no response. I have requested but not received a copy of the manufacturer's lifetime warranty. My contract with Custom Roofing states a 5-year labor warranty. Even though the job was not finished they have refused to comment or fix the fascia via the warranty. Custom Roofing needs to move forward to get the integrity of fascia install completed to protect my home

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/15) */ I'M SORRY MR.****** IS UNHAPPY WITH HIS JOB HOWEVER THE THING HE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ROOF JOB WE DID FOR HIM, BLAKE WALKED AROUND HIS HOUSE AFTER JOB WAS COMPLETED AND HAD CONCERNS ABOUT HIS ALUMINUM FASCIA WHILE TRYING TO EXPLAIN WE DO NOT REMOVE THE ALUMINUM FASCIA TO DO THE ROOF , THE ONLY THING REQUIRED IS TO REPLACE THE ALUMINUM DRIP EDGE.MR. ****** THEN BEGAN TO YELL MY SON BLAKE CALLING HIM NUMEROUS NAMES INCLUDING LIAR ECT. THIS WAS TOTALY UNCALLED FOR FOR AS WE HAD COMPLETED HIS ROOF,PASSED THE FINAL ROOF INSPECTION BY THE BUILDING DEPT. MY SON BLAKE REFUSED TO DEAL WITH MR.****** AFTERWARDS AS TO HOW HE WAS TREATED. NORMALLY I WOULD HAVE HANDLED THE SITUATION AT THAT POINT, DUE TO JUST HAVING SHOULDER SURGERY AND UNABLE TO MEET UP WITH MR. ****** HE SENT ME PICTURES OF HIS CONCERNS, AFTER VIEWING THEM MY SON, HE IS CORRECT AS TO THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ROOF,AS OF TODAY NOV 15 I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN RELEASED TO RETURN WORK, MR ****** HAS REQUESTED A COPY OF HIS WARRANTY WHICH I AM HAPPY TO DO ONCE THE ROOF IS PAID IN FULL. AT THIS TIME MR ****** STILL OWES FOR 25% OF THE ROOF WE INSTALLED Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2021/12/07) */ From: DAVID ****** <************@hotmail.com> To: Sabrena Critton Date: 11/22/2021 2:52 PM Subject: Re: Fwd: Case ID XXXXXXXX Ms. Critton: In response to Mr.*******'s comments: I have traveled The Villages many times by golf cart (10+ miles) from Rte 42 to Rte 466A; and have paid attention to several hundred roofs I have passed. Not one of them has a fascia to shingle breach as produced by Custom Roofing. As Mr. ******* states, I pointed out these areas of concern on my roof to Blake on the completion walk-around. At no time did I suggest or state Custom had removed the fascia; only that Custom had cut/removed areas from the fascia that created a gap between the fascia and shingles. This breach is unacceptable as it permits weather, bugs and vermin to have access under it and potentially into my home. Furthermore, it detracts from the architecture of the building. Mr. ******* exaggerates the amount he hasn't received for the work. The amount is approximately 16% of Custom's bid. (Custom had been paid in full via Chase Visa card. Daryle ******* stated, via text, someone would be sent to see what was needed and review and fix the issue. No one ever came). The 16% was awarded to me by Chase Bank Visa card. I filed a dispute with Chase Bank Visa card concerning the breach and Custom's inaction to resolve the issue. I want Custom to have the fascia replaced to restore the integrity and aesthetics of my home. I have attached several pictures showing a few of the breaches. Sincerely, David ****** XXX-XXX-XXXX Business Response /* (4000, 16, 2021/12/21) */ We do not ever remove the Facia unless there is rotted wood behind it, if this was to happen Mr ****** would have be billed for this which wasn't the case. At this time I have 3500.00 of roof which hasn't been paid. The roof was completed and had final inspection and passed on May 13, 2021. Once final payment is made warranty will be issued not before. Looks like this will be going to collection company. Daryle ******* Owner/Contractor Consumer Response /* (4200, 18, 2022/01/10) */ June 8, 2021 Daryle ******* sent me a text saying he would send someone to my home to see what was needed to make the repair. He requested pictures of the areas in question which I sent to you also. No one ever came that met with me. The indication was Daryle realized the problem and was amenable to resolving it. You have a synopsis of the time line through the December 21 submission by Daryle, that I didn't receive until January 3. (You also have information prior detailing the process filing a dispute with Visa where again Daryle refused to participate). Daryle has suggested he may move to submit the billing to collection as of 12/21. In the meantime, I have been in contact with the Marion County building inspection dept. A representative came to my home and reinspected the shingle/fascia issue. He stated there was bare plywood exposed where the fascia had been breached, which shouldn't be. To attempt resolution to my issue with Custom Roofing, the county representative suggested he would contact Daryle *******, as he knew Daryle, and suggest Daryle resolve the issue at my home. A few days later I received confirmation that the county representative had made contact with Daryle. I understand Daryle told the representative he would call me. As of this writing I have had no contact from Daryle, nor from anyone else at Custom Roofing.
