      I was a long time customer. My membership lapsed in April. We needed service today and I signed up again. I got a message saying all services were available immediately. I then called for service for my sons car as he is on the account too and they refused until I paid an additional $60 same day fee. I asked to speak to the manager who told me it was in the fine print that they reserved the right to charge a same day fee, which means they didnt have to charge it. If they were going to charge a fee it should say services will be available after a 3 day waiting period unless you want to pay a fee.

      We are sorry for any confusion surrounding your membership. But you were sent an email after you renewed online that stated - Upon activation and with proper identification, AAA will provide regular AAA services and full privileges for the new member. Roadside benefits begin three days after payment of dues.

      I am rejecting this response because: its bad customer service. I reviewed the email and its written with an asterisk at the very end and very small. Just another way to sucker people out of money.

      I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the service provided by AAA on September 17, 2023, which has significantly impacted my confidence in their services and prompted me to reconsider my membership.Despite contacting AAA promptly at 11 AM and receiving assurances of assistance by 12:45 PM, the tow truck failed to arrive at the designated public parking lot where my vehicle was parked due to repair issues. Contrary to the driver's claim of no one being present at the vehicle, the entire ************* and office staff was actively waiting, which makes this assertion inaccurate.Attempts to resolve this issue were met with further disappointment. A subsequent appointment scheduled for 6:30 PM was not clearly communicated as a time window, leading to confusion. Moreover, AAA's policy against towing from closed shops, despite clear evidence of payment, left my vehicle vulnerable in an unsafe area, particularly as one door was unable to lock.The disregard for my safety concerns and the lack of empathy from AAA representatives compounded my frustration. The refusal to tow from a public lot leaves my vehicle exposed to potential harm, a situation that I find unacceptable given the circumstances.This failure in service, coupled with a lack of empathy and concern in subsequent interactions, has influenced my decision not to renew my membership. I sincerely hope that this feedback initiates an internal review and prompts improvements in AAA's service standards.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that this complaint will be addressed promptly and effectively.
