Ill share my experience & let you decide. Contract signed 1/10/24 with work started 2/7/24. Installer discovered a second door was delivered instead of a window. This is a four window/door unit that was temporarily installed and still there. The unit wasnt caulked so large cracks are still visible on the top and side. After threatening to post on BBB site, windows were delivered with planned installation 6/24/2024. Installer discovered a frame for the windows/ door was not delivered!! I asked but havent been given a delivery date. Dont expect to hear from them on job status, if you ask they wont know. They will respond with supply chain problems but neighbors havent experienced it with competitors. Ive been living with this for five months. Its beyond me how this company stays in business. I have told friends and neighbors to stay away because I dont recommend them. You decide!Custom Vinyl Systems of Florida Response

****************************,Please believe me when I tell you that *** working as hard as I can to resolve this problem.Your order was placed correctly and made incorrect by the manufacture the first time. It was then reordered and made incorrectly again. I wish there was some way I could make it myself you would have your door tomorrow. It has been reordered again and I will inform you of an ETA as soon as I get It. Again, please remember that I am on your side in this matter.Sincerely *******************Review from Michelle I

CVS installed our lanai windows and it looks great HOWEVER when it rains hard all 4 windows and the door leak - we are not talking drips we are talking streaming water. I have contacted, several times, CVS and the owner Phil about our CVS leaky lanai windows. I emailed a video to service and sent a video text to the owner Phil in mid November and as of today no one has called about addressing the leaky lanai windows. CVS emailed a response saying we are very sorry, thank you for letting us know...we want raving fans...YET no one from CVS has contacted us.Review from Thea S

I have used CVS for 4 of my homes in The Villages over the last 10 years. While I would vet contractors each time i would begin another screening and/or window project, I would always return and choose CVS, not just for the superior product but because of the steadfast integrity, first in class customer service, and quality.Review from Daniel B

Wanted to replace the windows and door in a lanai, it's just a straight wall that means 2 windows and 1 door. Made down payment (10%) on May 12. Then on June 27 they said they were ready to order the windows and wanted 50% of the contract price, so now I've paid over $4k and have no time frame for getting the windows installed ... they say it could be Oct, Nov, ... or even Dec. To be fair, initially they told us it might be as late as Sept. before we got them installed, but doesn't look like is going to happen because they said our windows weren't on the manifest. Unless you don't mind waiting indefinitely, I would not recommend this company.
UPDATE:
"We had CVS replace the windows and door in our lanai, it's just a straight wall that means 2x2 windows and 1 door. Made down payment (10%) in May. Then in late June, they said they were ready to order the windows and wanted 50% of the contract price, so we had $4k in the project so far. Initially told September time frame for getting the windows delivered and installed ... but could be Oct, or even later. Sounded like the Manufacturing/Logistics issue as with everything else, to be fair. Before we got them installed, we had a little communication break down, basically we were first told the windows ordered would be coming in early Sept, but for whatever reason didn't come in until the next order which was end of Sept. Still when they came in, and it all got installed right after that and the guys did a very good job with the install too. My only complaint is that it seemed to take a long time, and in fairness, they told us this too. Just FYI, if your thinking of doing something like this be prepared to wait."Custom Vinyl Systems of Florida Response

Mr. ******, everything you have been told was the truth as we knew it to be at the time. These are trying times with labor and supply chain shortages. I am however a little confused as I called and left a message on 8/22/2022 stating that I had received a revised manifest and your products would be on the September truck. I also informed you that your permit had been issued and yours would be the first job done after the shipment arrives. We are expecting it the 3rd or 4th week of that month. If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to me at [email protected]
Thank you,

Yes, you are correct, however I wrote that review before you called and the reason I wrote it was because my wife told me that Erin had said that the manifest for August did include our stuff then later said it didn't and gave no reason ... so when I wrote that that was all we knew. It was after that that we got the call that said it would be on the September manifest. We just want to be kept informed (accurately) as to what the status is. Thanks for getting back to us with that information. I'm hoping that it all works out and it all comes together by the end of Sept / (early) Oct because we have family coming in mid Oct. Thanks. The best way to write a review on this company is to post the timeline I've been creating since December of 2020. Then you can decide for yourself if you have the patience to deal with them. Keep in mind that all the windows, screens & sliding doors were purchased February 2004 with a full lifetime warranty. The warranty offer was the reason for signing a contract with CVS. The problem I'll be referring to is one of the sliding doors has a broken seal on the glass panes which has caused dirt to collect between them & 2 of the screens to both sliding doors are damaged due to age & need to be replaced.
12/2020-A tech came out & I showed him the problems. He took pictures of everything & said he'd have the office order new ones. He explained it would take about a month. Today is March 1, 2022 and still no door or screens. Therefore, I've taken matters into my own hands. I went to ****** today and bought the 2 screens. Total cost- $178.90 which I'll try to get reimbursed for. Next will be finding a window installer and just replace the double panes. If one would like to read the whole timeline, I posted it on ******. It's pretty mind boggling but yet entertaining at the same time.Custom Vinyl Systems of Florida Response

Mrs. *********, I was a bit surprised to see this post being that we just spoke last Friday, and I told you that everything was finally in, and we would be out this week to install. I do not dispute that it has taken forever to get all the parts needed for the repair as it does with almost everything that is ordered with no end to this situation in sight. I believe I had
even should you the string of monthly emails from the distributor pushing your ETA back month after month. It is my most sincere wish that after this week this can all be put behind us and we can remain friends.
Sincerely,
Philip *****

Phil, I beg to differ but we didn't speak last Friday March 4th. I went to ****** March 1st and bought 2 new screens after not hearing from you since January 18th when you said the door was dropped and a new door would be delivered February 9th. March 1st was my deadline for waiting.
I called your office March 2nd for the address, made a copy of the receipt and put it in the mail box. Surprisingly you called the same day to say the door was in and the screens were repaired. I told you about purchasing the screens and you said to return them which I still haven't for obvious reasons. I'd like to wait until this ordeal is over before I do so. I also took the receipt I planned on mailing out of the mailbox. You called ***** and Friday March 4th was the day they would deliver the door. When the door was delivered on the 4th, I called your office immediately and was told by Tricia that you would call the week of the 7th to set up a day for the tech to bring the screens out and complete the repair. Today is March the 8th so instead of responding to my review on BBB, you should be sending the tech out with my door and 2 screens. LOL! Get with the program Phil. Lenny's ready to put the damn door and new screens on himself. :-D Chat soon.Custom Vinyl Systems of Florida Response

Mrs. *********, I am sorry if I got the dates confused, but please don't think the length of this event was due to a lack of trying on my part which was evident by the string on emails spanning over a one-year period from the manufacture and distributor that I presented to you earlier this year. Everything was installed today, and it is my most sincere hope that you will be happy. Please let me know if i can be of further assistance. Have a pleasant evening.
Thanks PhilCustomer Response

Phil, per our conversation today, the screens and door were replaced yesterday and am looking forward to a return visit by the tech sometime next week so he can put the bug flaps/strip on and replace/repair the lock on one of the screens that looks chewed up and won't work. Have a relaxing weekend.

We have tried since late August to have a window that failed on a rental, replaced. One phone call after another, always going to call back, never do, or rarely. Supposedly they are waiting on the window to arrive but believe the window in question is made in America and is under a lifetime warranty. Can only say, I would never, ever use this company again. But at this point, after spending over 15,000 believe we have the right to a call back and replacement of the failed window.Custom Vinyl Systems of Florida Response

Dear Mrs. ******, I am sorry you feel that things have not gone smoothly. Since this review of last Wednesday, we have spoken, and I was able to tell you that you window was in and being scheduled for delivery. As soon as delivery is confirmed we will be out to do the repair. You are correct that the window was made in America, however, waiting 4 months in these trying times is not a long time as the supply chain is backed up in almost every manufacturing facility in the United States and worldwide.
Thank you for your patience,
Philip *****
