We had our driveway resurfaced by this company in August 2023. It looked great for a couple of months until a dark shadowing started to become apparent along the lines where they had repaired cracks. This condition has continued to worsen to the point where now the cracks themselves have reemerged. Their sales guy went to great lengths to emphasize that due to the ***** base here in *******, cracks would probably recur at some point. We understood this but certainly hoped and expected our $9,412 investment would last longer than a few months. In hindsight, it probably would have been a much better decision to bite the $$$ bullet and opt to completely replace the driveway

CONSUMER ALERT—Do not hire Sun Surfaces of Orlando, Inc. to resurface your concrete pool deck if it has some existing cracks. Unfortunately, we did and paid almost $6000. Our deck has been painted through the years and it had some common, hairline cracks. Before the job, our sales rep suggested a “score-line” finish on the new surface as it would draw attention away from the cracks, but he never mentioned the risk of them reappearing as dirty line marks. The crew appeared to do a good job and we were happy. However, 10 months after installation, we noticed the new lines where the cracks used to be under the new surface were becoming dark and appeared dirty. One of the new lines had cracked. We paid for “crack treatment” which included a treatment called Tight Bond as noted on the agreement we signed. I called the company and was directed to our sales rep. He suggested we try Simple Green to clean the affected areas. Days later I let him know that it did not have any effect on the dark areas. He then suggested I try Zep Citrus Cleaner. I let him know that product did not work either. He then suggested I try Denatured Alcohol. I let him know the Alcohol had a minimal effect on the dirty score-lines. He offered to bring me some touch up paint so I could paint over the affected areas. I tested the touch up paint over one of the dark lines and, when blended with the new paint, it looked awful and did not blend in with the rest of the deck. I asked to talk to the owner and was told me he was unavailable. In our final communication, they offered to come back and give us an estimate on “fixing” these dark lines and the new crack for more money. After this poor experience, I began reading some complaints that were recorded on the BBB website and they all cite crack issues very similar to ours. In closing, do not hire this company if you wish to resurface your concrete patio deck if it has existing, hairline cracks. I’d attach pictures if this website allowed as evidence.
