I purchased soil from this company back in February had it spread throughout the yard to revive it after the freeze. Once the grass started to grow in I noticed glass shards popping up. Then I noticed it was through the entire yard, and I contacted Mark the owner. He apologized said he knew exactly where it came from behind Walmart on John young, which he said there were 40-50 year old broken beer bottles in it before he noticed it, and he allegedly cut ties with the guy that he purchased it from. When I said I’ve never heard of glass being sold in soil the response I got was most of the soil we sell goes in open fields then sod is laid over it. As if it were my fault I purchased contaminated soil, and didn’t cover it up with grass. When I mentioned I had kids and a dog Mark replied he would pay my kids for each piece of glass they found. Mark then realized their ages, and hopefully how ridiculous that proposal sounded. That weekend Mark came out with one of his employees, and the employee raked the yard for about 4 hours. I continue to notice glass shining in the sun daily so Mark had another employee come out to give him an idea of how much equipment was needed to do the yard. The yard is still contaminated, I was waiting to hear the verdict but I’ve apparently gone on deaf ears. Now my 5 year old has to remind me daily how much glass she finds in front of her swing set every time it rains and the glass rises from below. It’s a SAFETY HAZARD. They knew exactly where the soil came from, but didn’t reach out to warn anyone and still sold it hoping you didn’t receive any complaints. I was under the impression we had an understanding and it was going to be corrected. It’s May 20th and we’ve been blocked on their social media profiles, and ignored after being told it would be remedied weeks ago.
