After coordinating for weeks, on 6/5/23, I contracted with (& paid) Odessa Garden Center (***) to provide various plants & landscaping materials for my yard improvements. The total was $2023.42 & was required by *** to be paid in full. The delivery date was scheduled for 6/8, as I had my ************************ contractors also scheduled for that day, a fact *** was aware of. On 6/8, the delivery never happened & comms w/ the owner, **************, were so difficult that I had to drive 25 mins to the *** to meet w/ in person & find out why my delivery did not happen. *** informed me the plants did not arrive & rescheduled the delivery 1-wk later on 6/15. He said the *************** tree installation would be free since my landscapers would not be available again the following week. The week of 6/15 again resulted in difficult comms w/ *** & only the palm trees arrived. Also, w/o my knowledge or approval, *** sub-contracted out the palm tree installation and the installers damaged my irrigation pipes. I called, texted & emailed *** about this issue immediately. Comms w/ *** & *** were beyond challenging as he rarely responded to emails & never called me back after multiple msgs/texts. I canx the remaining three trees on 6/13 & all dealings w/ *** on 6/26. I requested a ************ promised to put a check in the mail the next day twice (6/21 & 6/26) but a refund never arrived & *** has not responded to me since despite me following up via ************* calls. I am due a refund for: lemon tree ($125), lime tree ($125), cassia tree ($225), delivery fee ($75), weed fabric ($250) and broken irrigation ($125). The total is $925 plus tax, or $989.75. This does not include the extra costs I incurred from having to drive 25 mins to the *** in person due to no response, and extra costs I incurred from contractors & also because my paid orders did not arrive & I was forced to buy alternatives.
