*** of ************* repair took $1000 from me on May 12 2023 as partial payment for repairs on my truck camper and never returned.Initial Complaint

We were in *************** staying at *************** campground. We had an extended stay so my husband could work at the *********** power plant. He is a Millwright. we began having issues with our ** so we contacted ***'s Repair Service. On 5/12/2023, we received an Estimate from ***'s Repair Service. He had previously been out at which time we paid him for a service call because our ** was spewing water from the rooftop ** into the *** At that point, he checked the unit and cleaned it. He told me to see if that would fix the problem, which it did not. We called him again and he stopped by again to see if there was anything he could do. At that time he indicated that he thought it was a damaged condenser and the unit would have to replaced. We had also told him, we would be interested to have him install 2 vent hoods. Both were prewired. Once we received his estimate, we agreed to the price and sent *** (via *****) $1877.99 which was a down payment for the invoice with the remainder of $350.00 to be paid upon completed installation. We were there in *************** for a limited time. *** ordered he items and left for out of town for a Graduation Ceremony. When he returned, we informed him that we would be completing the job soon and he would have to install it by then or before. thats when he told us that he had received the wrong ** unit and could not install the ** on time, He did however receive the two vent hoods and he could install those. A day or possibly 2 days before we had to leave, He and his son came and installed the vent hoods. At the next rain, we found that the kitchen hood was leaking. I made *** aware of the problem but we were on our way or at home in *******. At one point we had discussed having him reordering a new ** and we would have it installed in ******* because he said it had been paid for. We decided that we would prefer to just get a refund of the ** and pertinent labor and asked him to zelle us the refund as we had done for him. He claimed that he had to send us a check for accounting reasons. We have waited for that refund and have been in communucation with him imploring him to do the right thing but he no longer takes our calls or responds to our text messages. I have all of my text messages with him and my husband has his if you need to see them. we just want our refund! Any assistance you can give us would be greatly appreciated.Thank you, ******* & *********************** ************
