To Whom It May ********* am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Big G Roofing for their negligence, which has resulted in significant financial loss and property damage to my home. After enduring months of troubleshooting, incurring over $600 in repairs and equipment costs, and facing increased electricity bills due to prolonged drying times, I discovered on December 22nd that the root cause of my clothes dryer's inefficiency was a blocked vent. This blockage was directly caused by improper roofing installation conducted by Big G Roofing approximately six months prior, where they completely covered my dryer's roof vent. I was informed by experts that this blockage was a fire hazard.Upon realizing the issue, I immediately notified Big G Roofing. However, it took them approximately three weeks to address and rectify the vent blockage. During this period, I was forced to purchase additional equipment to manage the heat expulsion from the unvented dryer, accruing further expenses. This situation also led to the warping of particle board cabinetry in my laundry room due to excessive humidity, a direct result of the vent blockage.Despite providing Big G Roofing with all receipts related to the $600+ in out-of-pocket expenses incurred due to their oversight, my request for a refund has been met with disregard. My emails have gone unanswered, and verbal communication attempts have resulted in refusals to compensate for the damages, with the owner, ****, and other management refusing to engage in dialogue regarding the matter.Furthermore, during the roof replacement process, negligence by Big G Roofing resulted in additional property damage. The roof was left exposed during a rainstorm, leading to water ingress that temporarily damaged recessed lighting, and damaged my indoor paint in the ceiling of my hallway. Promised repairs to a damaged gutter grate, intended to prevent leaf accumulation, were also not undertaken.These series of actions demonstrate a clear pattern of negligence and disregard for customer satisfaction and property safety by Big G Roofing. The financial and emotional toll of addressing these preventable issues has been significant. I am seeking the BBBs assistance in mediating this dispute to secure a refund of my expenses caused by Big G Roofings negligence, compensation for the unaddressed property damages, and a commitment to complete all promised repairs.I trust that the BBB will find my concerns valid and assist in facilitating a fair resolution to this matter.
