I hired Triple D Paint in January 2022 to repaint my home for $4200. This was a warrantied job, per the contract for 1 year. In March 2022, I had Jeffrie D***, the owner, quote a job that included reinsulating a wall, replacing a door, demoing a kitchen soffit, installing new kitchen cabinets, painting the kitchen and dining room and installing roof vents. The cost of the job was $6385 and I put a deposit for half the cost down to begin the job at a later date. I also ordered the cabinets, per the contract and confirmed sizes by Jeffrie. Painting was completed in January, remodeling began on May 19th 2022. At this point the paint started to bubble and peel. Jeffrie promised to address this during the remodel. Throughout the process, Jeffrie was my contact, although he often did not respond to phone, texts, or email. I added on a storm door install, which added $850 to the cost and paid another draw of $2,392.50 on 6/02. There were gaps where work would stop for weeks, or he would promise to show up and never did, or cited "something personal came up," or a flat tire. The last time I heard from Jeffrie was on 6/27 when he promised to personally complete the job on 6/29, which included the microwave, vents, touch up interior paint, fix exterior paint job. He was a no show and I attempted to contact him on 6/29, 7/6, and 7/18 without response. The project remains incomplete and the paint warranty issues have not been addressed and miss sized cabinets ( that Jeffrie confirmed). Finally, it is clear there is pattern of unreliability, as during the course of Jeffrie's unresponsiveness, he accidently sent me a text for another customer, where he was clearly behind timeline and not completing work as promised. I have retained all my text and email communications from this experience. I am due a partial refund to the work that has not been completed and for the faulty exterior paint job.Initial Complaint

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/26) */ Thank you so much for taking the time to write to us. We make it a point to be known for our customer service, so this situation caught us a little off guard since the work was completed per contract. Would you mind reaching out to me at *****@tripledpaint.com with more details about the situation? Any more light you could shed on what happened would be much appreciated and would help me to find the right solution moving forward. Thank you so much, and I look forward to hearing from you! Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/11/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The business would not answer our messages regarding the incomplete work. The business never started painting the exterior of the house nor finish any of the contractual requirements. We hired an attorney and after months of back and forth, we reached an agreement to settle and for the business to refund back our money. However, it has been about two months ever since and our attorney can't get the business to answer. To follow up or for any more information, you may contact our attorney: Robert ******** at XXX-XXX-XXXX. He's been trying to reach the business now for around 2 months. Please reference attached emails from Jake ****** assistant to Mr. Robert ********* Also, attached is the notarized Settlement Agreement. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/11/10) */ Hi, We have reached out to your attorney and we're waiting on a response from client to see if we can get a written email/letter stating that this would be removed so we can move forward with sending the check and notarized settlement. Please reach out to you attorneys so we can go ahead and move forward with this. Thank you! Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2021/12/13) */ Triple D Paint to this date has not refund us our money. They continue to play games so that they won't pay. No resolution as of yet. Suggest that we keep this case open.
