This is a scam.They called and said I took out a loan in 2016 when I did not they had the wrong address the wrong name but had the rest of my information correct. This is fraud.Review from Kristina S

Got a call today from **** ****** with GP services saying I had a ******** collection acct. for a online cash advance through *************** that was done in July 2018. I said, No. I have never had any such loan. He said we have the ip address that showed your home address, driver license and ss#. I said well ********** your records are wrong. He stated he could settle for ******. I said not happening. Then he said for ****** he can settle the fraud since I rejected that I took out the "loan". I said again NO! Iam not paying you a dime. First off I wasn't living in that house in July and when I did live there it was so rural I didn't even have internet to get on a PC for ***** to be an ip address. Asked for verification by mail. He said he would send it. I won't hold my breath.Review from Heather F

I just filed an official complaint with the BBB. Global Processing Services called claimed I owed $1200 to a Cash Advance place from 2018, and if I didn't pay they were going to freeze and garnish my accounts. They stated that I could settle that day in the amount of $389. Conveniently the statute of limitations on a debt is 6 years, and were just notifying me in 2024. They would not send me over any proofs of owing such, until I gave them my account information. I did receive an email after I paid, asking me to authorize them to take money out of my account monthly. That's when I knew for a fact that I was scammed. Why would I authorize that when I was told I was settling the debt that day. I went on BBB and found another person fell victim to their claims for the EXACT SAME AMOUNTS. The story is the same in all of the reviews, this is a SCAM. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION OR MONEY! They are not a real collection agency, and they are taking advantage of good Samaritan people! I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK!Review from Anonymous A

This is a scam. I don't owe any money. They claimed I had an outstanding balance of $1200 and would settle for $389 as full payment. Like many others, they threatened to garnish my wages or bank account and stated my home address and social security number. The representative also claimed I was notified in January 2024. When I said I hadn't received anything and asked them to resend the paperwork, she refused and hung up. THIS IS A SCAM!Review from Jessica C

************ and will not update their records to reflect that they are contacting the wrong person. They employed someone who I am guessing did a ****** search for someone with my name living in the city I work in, called a random number for my employer, and were directed to contact our HR department. They were told by both HR and me that they do not have the correct person, as the date of birth and last 4 of SSN are not a match, and I confirmed that I do not live in the state of the person they were looking for. Im guessing they saw my LinkedIn profile (which has now been made completely private and I searchable) and went from that information. They just called again on 6/14/2024, now that they have my phone number from me calling them back at the beginning of May 2024. Payday loans are actually illegal in the state that I reside and I would love for them to stop contacting me and actually contact the right person. YES GP SERVICES IS A RIP OFF PHONE SCAM! CALLED ME FROM FLORIDA NUMBER NINE 0 FOUR-SIX 5 EIGHT, 3 ONE SIX ONE, SAID THEY WERE A MEDIATION/COLLECTION FIRM AND I FAILED TO REPAY CASH ADVANCE PAYDAY LOAN OF $500 FROM 2016. SO THEY CALL ME 8 YEARS LATER TRYING TO COLLECT??? NEVER HAD SUCH A LOAN BECASUE I HAVE A JOB AND MONEY, NEVER EVEN WENT IN TO A CASH ADVANCE STORE FOR ANY REASON! SAID THIER WEB SITE IS WWW.GLOBALPSVS.COM BUT THAT WEB SITE IS NOT FUNCTIONAL AND DOMAIN NOT RENEWED. CANT VERIFY ANY OF IT. THEY MAKE EXCUSES FOR WEB SITE NOT WORKING. 0 stars. This is a scam. They said they were with GP services, had a name I seldom use and last 4 of my ssn old address, about a delinquent account. I have no delinquent accounts but recently had alert for my info on dark web. P.S. never buy on FB or Instagram.Review from Linda S

just received a call from this collector back to back around 12:40 PM on 5/9/24. It seems they changed their number since first it was one GA number then less than a minute later they called from another GA number with a different area code. The lady did not want to give her name nor the company that I supposedly owed $1200. They are going to garnish my wages.and my bank accounts. She hung up on me. I called back and she said if your gonna be rude...so I hung up on her. I said I needed to know who I owed money to and to send me a letter so I have it in writing that a settlement is being offered to settle the debt and stop the alleged collection. She said the company sent it and I did not respond. I have not received any letter on any collections and settlement offer. She also stated that they are not going to send it again and they will start the process to garnish my wages.Review from Miguel R

I asked that I needed to know who I owed money to and to send me a letter so I have it in writing that a settlement is being offered to settle the debt and stop the alleged collection. She said the company sent it and I did not respond. I have not received any letter on any collections and settlement offer. She also stated that they are not going to send it again and they will start the process to garnish my wages. This company keeps calling my number in search of someone that is not me. I have asked them several times that the person they are seeking is not me. I have asked them several times to remove my number and they continue calling me. I just want them to leave me alone.
