I went to the shop with a flat tire. I asked him to repair the tire instead they just put air in it and they said theres nothing wrong with it and then I drove down the street about 20 minutes. It went flat again. I had to go to another tire shop to Repair the flat tire s**** in the middle of it

Unfortunately, that is not quite what happened. Our business opens at 7:00 AM. This gentleman was at our shop at 6:45 AM demanding to the lube technicians to put air in the tire, that he had to be at the Port at 8:00 AM. We found out the it was the inside tire that was needing air and the person that put his tires on the last time put them on incorrectly. The valve stem was not accessible without taking the outside tire off. The technician reported that to the front desk and he was told to proceed while he wrote up the ticket. We charged him the standard labor rate of $50.89 to take the 2 outside tires off to put air in. Not one time, did he request that we fix the deflated tire, only to fill it up, because he was running late. He did not ask to fix the tire, because that would have taken too long. We even put him ahead of other customers that were waiting.

Since then, he has bad mouthed the shop to multiple people at the shop and a passenger that he gave a ride to later that day. All the time complaining that we charged him $50 to put air in his tire.

We only charged him labor to remove two tires, air was free. He was also in and out of our shop in 12 minutes, even before we are scheduled to open.

I reviewed the video of the encounter and interviewed the 3 people he interacted with at our shop to write this narrative.

I took my vehicle to ******* Automotive and Tire on 12/10/2022 After performing the an inspection, told the only thing I really needed were two shock absorbers (told they don't do just one), and there was a small oil pan leak. I asked them to put in a new oil dipstick & the wheel stud After paying the $130 for a new vehicle inspection which states on the paperwork they visually inspect all fluid levels, belts, hoses, tires, tire air pressure lights, wiper blades, filters, brakes etc. The only thing I really got back was it needed the shock absorbers. When it when in, I asked to check a sound that sounded like sloshing like water in a bucket. . I remembered as I drove away he didn't tell me anything about the sloshing sound so I called him immediately. His response was that it was an alternator issue. The truck started making a claniking sound after I picked it up that it did not make when it when in. I lifted up the exhaust pipe and the noise went away. I called them again and they said to bring it in on Monday the 12trh. When I arrived they wouldn't look at the car and said it wasn't anything they did.Since I left there I went to two different automotive repair centers, Midas and ******'s Auto Repair and I have learned that it needs a new serpentine belt, the engine mounts need to be replaced, the oil pan gasket needed to be replaced as well as the head gasket was leaking internally and externally. The evaporator box (the real reason for the sloshing sound) needed to be cleaned and due to the head gasket leaking into the radiator (I had another company **** out coolant and put new in) it needs to be replaced as the new fluid alreay looks like chocolate milk. Not too mention the wiper blades still need replacing which ******* told me nothing about, but I had asked them since I was thinking of getting new ones. I went back to show them the finding from MIdas and all I got was, he may have missed a few things. They offered me $60 but I want the $130

      We did an inspection: ***********************

In this inspection we included pictures of the major issues that needed to be addresses and emphasized the ones that needed to be taken care of 1st.
Seized Shocks, major oil leak causing multiple issues, missing lug nut, was the starting point.
Alternators do not cause sloshing noises, not sure why he said this.
We stand by our work and have a full 2 year warranty anywhere in the nation.

The inspection is on the invoice given to the customer. We did a full inspection as noted on the document and shown in our last response.
I also went back and watched the video of the phone call made to the store after he picked up his truck. At 15:04 he called to complain about the muffler noise. Not one word about the sloshing noise and we did not say it would be an alternator.
I will return the $130.00 for the inspection, but at no time am I agreeing to doing anything shoddy or wrong. The check will be sent to the address given to us on the ticket.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not agree with the response. Yes, they told me the shocks were leaking which is why I had them replaced. Yes they told me there was a leak from the oil pan, I responded it was just dripping, he said ok. At NO time was I told it was a major leak. They did tell me I needed a lug nut, however I am the one that told them that a lug nut would not go on, as I tried. The entire post that it goes on would have to be replace. They went back out to the vehicle and came back to tell me it would need to be replaced. At NO timee was I shown any pictures. When I left that day it was still making the sloshing noise, so I called back and was told it was the alternator. This was a big red flag as I don't know much about cars but even I knew it wasn't the alternator, this is the exact reason I had it checked by two other mechanics to learn it is the a/c evaporator box. In addition, whan I left that day the truck was making a clanging noise that it was not making when I brought it in.It was rather loud. When I picked up on the exhaust pipe it would go away. I was told they didn't do anything but to bring it in Monday 12/12/2022. When I did, there was a different employee at the desk and they refused to look at it. They may have a national warranty, but if the problems are not checked or reviewed with the customer to correct it does no good. I am still convivenced something happened to make the new clanking noise at their shop since it did not make that noise going in. They may have done a glance over but it was no inspection. I was not even told it needed engine mounts and the other issues I pointed out in this compplaint. I would love to have them fix the noise that it making, but certainly would not trust the organization after all this. I would like my full diagnostic fee returned, not half that was offered because there is definitely more than 50% wrong with the vehicle then what they found

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I appreciate the refund of the $130. I do not doubt the work of the shock absorbers I paid for, just the inspection
