I applied to go to school I paid 500 upfront out of a 950 amount and they said we will have a teacher and we get the Nail curriculum and license and we needed a certain amount of hours but the second day there we don’t receive any knowledge books about the course with the teacher doesn’t teach the teacher he just sits on his phone also it says they’re open from 930 to 5. He leaves every day at 3 to 330. they literally just take her money and send out certificates. Nail licenses.Business response

I attended The World of Beauty Academy in ******* **. in order to obtain another license for work.I paid the school $3000 in full for the course.However once the money was withdrawn,they began asking multiple times if I was ready to take the state exam without even attending one class.As strange as this was,I then received my diploma 3 days later,again without attending one class.I assured her that I was not and was then introduced to the so called teacher.I was told that all book work was to be completed at home and class time would be for hands on training.There was no time keeping equipment to track the 500 hours needed to apply for the license and what little teaching there was was very unprofessional, with the teacher leaving mid class to run personal errands.Training equipment was inadequate or broken.After about 4 months I spoke with a number of graduate students from the school who informed me that after attempting to apply for the state exam had been rejected due to the school being under investigation.When I asked the school about this I was reassured that everything was under control as the school had been in trouble before, shut down and then reopened under a new name.The diploma is offered immediately after payment is received and people are encouraged to take the exam without any training from the school,saving them money and allowing a larger number of students in a shorter period of time.Many failed and raised suspicion from the exam board who will no longer allow students from the school to take the exam.The school said that their lawyer had solved the issues and told me to apply for my test and pay the $264 fee. After 2 months I am still not allowed to take my test due to the investigation and I can get information from no one.I along with others invested so much time, effort and money into this school who lied and took advantage of us.They will not refund any money or even talk to us.They took our money and offered services they didn't deliver.
