I rented a car on 5/3/2022 until 5/5/2022 and on 5/5/2022 the car rental texted me and asked if i would like to extend the rental period iresponded yes but i could not pay the extension fee until friday 5/6/2022 around 3pm the rental office stated that it would be fine. On5/6/2022 at approximately 11am they deactivated the car from being started i then phoned them and they said to hold on a couple ofminutes then when i came back outside from my motel room the car was gone. I phoned them again and they said it had beenrepossessed for non payment. I tried contacting them again and again even texting but they blocked me. They also took all of my personalproperty such as my suit case with all my clothing including a file with very important documents. I emailed and texted a few days laterand stated to them that keeping my property is theft and Carlos one of the owners replied that they would only release my property if ipayed them $800 i told him that was extortion. Then i told him i would file a report with the police and an attorney he said he would wait fortheir call and that was the last time i have had any communication with then. Carlos also stated that my property would be kept at theirTampa location.
