            I took my 8 year old chihuahua in there for a few minor issues, they told me her heart was enlarged a lot of fluid on lungs and her trac had collapsed, after the X-ray and steroid and iv and $864 later, I went to ******** and had them over look the X-ray and do more to see and they told me there was no fluid on her heart or lungs in the first X-ray her trac was open and ok that it was false information the animal emergency hospital told me. Please save your money and go anywhere else they shattered my heart that night and only cared about $ by providing false information.

            We are glad to hear that your pet is doing better after being treated at AEC. Let's clear a few things up in regard to your visit. You brought your chihuahua in because she could barely breathe. We take radiographs for any patient that cannot breathe. Fluid WAS seen on the radiographs and TWO injections were given. She started breathing easier prior to her discharge. The steroid we gave continues to help the breathing for 72 hours, so yes, after 6-7 hours she would still be doing great. We are shocked that you would state 'shame on you for taking advantage of vulnerable people in that state'. You brought her in for breathing difficulties and we gave her injections so she was breathing better before discharge and into the next day (and longer). We have nothing to be ashamed of. Overweight small dogs ALWAYS have breathing issues (which is NOT normal) this is why we recommended weight loss, for HER quality of life.
