      I could not leave a zero, so I had to give them one star. I am echoing the same message as everyone else. As soon as they get your money, they are gone. 30-day guarantee means nothing. Your sod will die in less than 3 weeks, and they will tell you Its your fault, you over watered, you didn't treat it for sod worms", you, you, you. You would think they would come out to your property to speak with you and make these assessments but no, that would be too taxing on them. The tea leaves tell them it is the customers fault, and they walk away with nearly two grand and you with a yard full of dead sod. Please do yourself a favor and move past company on. You will be thanking me later.

      ****** F ************ is horrible. I made an appointment five days in advance, had to pay service call before they would come out, they wont give a time frame of arrival, they should have been red flags. Waited from 7 AM till I called them at 4:15 PM only to be told they wouldnt be there that day. Did i want to reschedule for the next day REALLY! I requested a refund and it is being processed, unlike my payment which was charged to my account immediately.

      A terrible experience from start to finish. Poorly managed, poorly executed. Took forever to produce my estimate, then reneged on delivering it for reasons unknown. Estimator was pleasant and professional, but he was the only one among them. Inadvisable to do business with them unless you have six months to throw away waiting for no responses, lack of delivery, and unprofessional behavior.

      Horrible experience; this Company does not care once they have your money, Their 30 day guarantee is not worth the paper its printed on. A quick search of review of this company all point to the same issues (not sure why I hired them and though it wouldn't pertain to me). Sod is laid out, along with sprinkler head upsell, they say they help you setup the watering plan. Then after a few weeks, sod is dead. They will blame you and say you didn't follow the watering instructions, They also force you to use a 3rd party service for fertilization (obviously someone they have a deal with); however even if you follow that and spend the extra money, the dead sod remains. They then say they will come back and check the watering. They do, but again, make changes and blame you for dead sod. The final issue that completely turned us off on this, was that the Owner came and said the grass would be fine and to give it another few weeks and call them if it wasn't any better. We waited the additional 2 weeks and sent back pictures showing it was almost worse than before it was replaced. They waited 2 weeks after we called (after warranty expired), and told us it wasn't their fault. Company is antiquated and used to older rainbird mechanical sprinkler systems; not up to speed on new technology. I've wasted over $2000 and now have to hire another company. Resting on past success and not adapting to the changing times is a recipe for disaster, and I think this company will be around much longer. Perhaps owner is waiting to get bought out or retire. In any event, I would never recommend this company to anyone. Buyer beware. And don't trust what they tell you. Check all the other reviews and see for yourself.

      We had a very bad experience with Ground Source Landscaping. Within less than two weeks of the new sod being laid it was apparent that there was a problem. We started contacting the company immediately and talked with a very responsive and understanding office worker. She indicated that she would let Joe ***** know of our problems and would he would get back to us. He never did until months later and only after stopping payment on the credit card payment. It was clear that once the sod was laid Mr ***** had no interest in the job or customer satisfaction. Very poor business practice displayed by this business.

      It was apparent that once the sod was laid the customer has no recourse as to the success to resolving issues with the work. Months later when payment had been stopped and Mr ***** had examined the dead sod, his only response was to offer to re-lay the sod with no concession on their part.

      There are to many good options for reputable sod companies out there to use this company with questionable business practices.

      First and foremost, it is never our goal for a customer to have a bad experience with any product or service in which we offer.

      To address your comments:

      Yes, your sod perished, more than half of it.

      Yes, I walked with you, not following the cc dispute, you filed the dispute after I walked with you and let you know we would help you but were not responsible.

      I have spent years experimenting, tweaking, and perfecting sod care instructions, which are crucial during the summer months, which is our active webworm season. Your comment to me of, "no one reads what they sign," is not a good excuse, we are talking a few sentences, not pages. Most customers read the instructions, few, such as yourself, don't. I'm sorry you felt it unfair that you received a perishable product, didn't follow instructions that you acknowledged you received, and then want our business to do it again, for free. You were offered a discount to replace, and you left our conversation the morning of letting me know that "you have options."

      You ultimately disputed the cc payment and we had our attorney sent you a demand letter, which you ignored, forcing us to ultimately file a lawsuit to collect, which you then promptly mailed a check to us after being served. These are the facts, had you felt it was our fault you would've simply let it play out in the court system.

      Purchase sod next summer, June through September from anyone else, don't treat it, and I give it a 70%- 90% chance of dying again. Follow our detailed instructions, treat the lawn, and you can keep the webworms away. I will also remind you that I pointed out active webworm activity in portions of your existing lawn, too, debunking your theory that the insects were delivered with the lawn. They are a result of the white moths that fly, every summer, during the rainy season.
